No salt and nothing to make her feel like a gross slob who was on their twentieth drink. With that in mind, Ualan asked for the men to make a salad, some soup without salt, a chicken sandwich without salt, and a dessert of jello. "You like any of that or want to change it up still, MIss?"

Really, he didn’t like owing anyone anything period. It earned a suspicious sidelong look. A free drink either meant he was being hit on, or the guy with the salesman grin was hoping to create a regular out of him. “Right.” He looked away, watching the bartender mix the drink. “Long as it hurts on the way to unconscious.”

It was the reason he started his pub was to forget his past and find himself buried in all that was whiskey and scotch. Find a brand and find a content that was potent, cut to the chase, and made someone just bury the problems deep down. Hearing he wanted that, the bartender brought it over, before Ualan slid it across to him. "Just be sure it's what you want because I make regulars around here and they keep coming back from this," he said, nodding down to the drink.

Purchasing alcohol for the bar had always proved to be a most difficult task, considering the fact that neither Pam nor Eric drank the stuff themselves. It was all about their patrons’ preferences and what seemed to be the most popular as far as certain brands and which one’s sold as opposed to which one’s didn’t. The only reason Pam had found herself requesting Ualan’s product was by the minor recommendation from one of her recent regulars at Fangtasia.
“Tell you what, handsome, I’ll buy a case of your stuff and see how it sells. If it proves a hit, then you’ll be findin’ yourself one rich businessman. Deal?”
One rich businessman? He didn't tell her he made his money in the other pubs' popularity, but this would be a chance to see this woman. Though, he had to get her the product first than to be looking at her like git of a teenage idiot. Ualan tapped his knuckles on the bar, announcing for one bartender to get close to him. "Get this beautiful woman a case and make sure you have it on the rolling box to take it out to her car." No use and bad manners if he made her carry it off in her arms.
While his bartender was tending to bringing a case out from the back, Ualan turned around and nodded, "You will find my brand has a deep and burning finish. Nothing to make you spit it out and ask if this came from a bath tub. All of it that finest, just like you."

If you are not from a land of beautiful women, where else would a beautiful woman be from?," he asked, knowing he was laying on thick just as the cooks would with the butter. Pint and butter on food would keep them all here drunk and fat. He knew he had about ten more years before the things he did to his body would catch up to him. However, he could see none of it was harming her. Made him wonder if she was one of the few women who never had to worry about getting older.
"To the West? Where did you get yourself up to?," he asked, grinning wide at her own compliments. He wouldn't tell her that he could greet every one, but Ualan could admit, "I like to stay for the ones that seem like they might have a good story to tell me. Even know how to throw back their pint without wincing or wheezing for a fire hose. How long do you plan to be in this pub? We are open until 4am." When at last there were would many patrons who were passed out or stumbled out of the bar.

Ualan blinked away the memories because it was too much for him to worry over something in the past. It was in the past and he was not going to think about that time in his life. He was making it with what he had and he was going to see Father Norries to pardon him for his sin. Ualan could do as many Hail Mary's, but he knew the suffering he would have was his own penance. "Then embrace a pint here and just relax for a little while with some chips. Ever had chips from here?"
I’m hardly resisting, Mr. O’Malley. Otherwise I wouldn’t even be standing here and talking to you. And you won’t bite? Mmmm. Shame. I was hoping you might. Glad to hear that there are still gentlemen in this world who don’t view women as fire hydrants or pieces of meat.
Not unless I make sure the woman or man I'm with knows the biting is for pleasure. -Gives her a side grin- Only bite when I know I want to leave a memento behind and they want it. -Barks out a throaty laugh at hearing about fire hydrants- Then those men are teenage idiots right out of puberty. One thing you learn in the military, you admire a woman for the shit she puts up with if she's with you and she's at home. You treat her like the best cut of woman, not some loo you are going to take the piss in.
