Graceful Eriko strolling among furin (windchimes) in a chic sasa (bamboo) yukata paired with a demure akikusa (autumn plants) obi.
I find this woman so beautiful (see other photoshoots I reblogged here), I mean just look at those shots:

Kurashiya Kimono
Utsukushii Kimono
Muted earth tones kimono outfit, with a refined sasa (bamboo leaves) and ume (plum blossoms) kimono, paired with a quiet obi depicting kotoji (koto bridges, see pic below). The haori is a modern one by designer Jotaro Saito.
Quiet kimono with pine silhouettes on the hem, paired with janomegasa (snake eye umbrella) obi. I love how the blue of the “sky” behind the pine forest is echoed on the obi.
OP also paired this kimono with a beautiful sagara embroidered haori:
Sagara shinshuu is made by using tiny tiny knots
Finished pieces have a lovely texture:
So, it’s that time of year again! My blog has grown quite a bit recently and I wanted to thank you all for your time & energy!!
“Dawn” shibori furisode, printed kimono inspired by a digital photography by Sagimori Aguri for Gofukuya. They also released a “morning haze” version:
Sunset/sunrise African wildlife kimono outfit, with a very 70′s vanning paint job vibe (seen on).
Fantastic formal outfit (OP wore it for New Year), pairing this breathtaking black furisode depicting oshidori (mandarin ducks) and hato (doves) under yukimochi-ume (snow covered plum branches) + a matching oshidori obi tied in fukura suzume (”puffed sparrow”) knot.
Like doves in the West, oshidori ducks are a symbol of eternal love and fidelity. Because of this, I think this furisode is probably technically a kakeshita (bridal furisode worn under uchikake coat). But, bridal or not, it is far too amazing to be left in a drawer!
Matching antique kimono and obi, depicting shishi (lions) frolicking among luscious botan (peonies). This pattern association hints at noh play Shakkyo (the stone brigde).
This pattern association might be my all time favourite, I just find it so powerful!

Luscious (with just the right hint of campy) velvet haori by Rumi rock. That crow looks so beautifully ominous. And god that swirling galaxy design!!!
Super soft and dreamy houmongi, with summery plants pattern: fuyou (cotton rose, on skirt), and hozuki (physalis, on shoulder)
Sagi (heron) themed antique kimono outfit, pairing a refined murasaki shikibu (reddish purple) houmongi with a beautifully embroidered black summer obi
Monochrome fairytale furisode by Rumi Rock. Furisode are usually much sweeter and sugary. This one is much more mature yet keeps an hint of playfulness, I love it!
