33 years ago today I started this crazy lil journey on earth. For as long as I can remember, birthdays have always been a strange experience for me. I prefer to almost disappear; something about the attention just doesn’t sit well with me. Maybe I’ve never felt like I’ve been a version of myself that is deserving of celebration. Or maybe it’s just an overstimulation thing lol. Whatever the case, I enjoy to spend this day in private — to sulk in whatever emotions I haven’t processed and recalibrate.

I can say that I’m in a good place with what really matters to me and that I have been choosing to step into experiences that seemed almost impossible some years ago. Although there are parts of me I’m not entirely fond of, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. Here’s to another year of chipping away and to choosing joy and growth in my life.

For today, I’m choosing to just take it easy and take care of some usual Sunday errands. One of which includes sorting and organizing camping gear for a much needed camping trip in two weeks. Let’s get ittttt
