“Nothing changes until something moves.”
— Albert Einstein
I know it can be disheartening to hear that “people can’t ever change”, but I want you to know that you can. You can improve and grow and do better. You can learn from your mistakes.
It’s important to remember that most of the people saying these things have been wronged too many times by someone who didn’t change. And their experiences and feelings are valid. But that doesn’t mean you can’t change. Please try not to take their feelings as facts.
The people you have hurt or wronged or anything like that don’t have to forgive you or give you another chance, but this doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it to work on yourself. And another important thing to remember is that you are absolutely allowed to forgive yourself and shouldn’t keep punishing yourself. You’re allowed to do better and move on.
“Don’t let the concept of change scare you as much as the prospect of remaining unhappy.”
— Timber Hawkeye

From 0 to 100 how much would you trust these two….?
if all you can do is a half-assed job, then half-ass it.
if all you can do is part, or get started, then do that, go as far as you can.
it’s okay. do what you can, give what you’ve got. if you can only clean half the mirror, or the bathroom sink but not get to the toilet, or only vacuum one room, then okay. you did something. and that means something was accomplished.
fuck the yoda wisdom of this shitty world.
try.
I don’t think a lot of people understand that no matter how progressive or well-read you are, there are always going to be moments in your life where somebody pushes back against something that’s so culturally ingrained you never even considered it before. And you’ll say “Huh, it never occurred to me to challenge this but you’re right,” and that doesn’t mean you were “morally toxic” before, it means you’re a non-omniscient human capable of growth.
Also, some preferred terms for things will change and evolve, and terms we prefer now might eventually be considered gauche or even offensive, and that doesn’t mean you were a bigot at the time for using them. It means we evolved as a society and chose new terminology to reflect that change.
Nobody is a fully formed realisation of progressivism that can predict all shifts and modes of thought. The world will always change, and hopefully you will, too
Allow yourself to rest, allow yourself to recharge. It's okay to take a break, it's okay if you need a long break. You are human too, don't be too hard on yourself, your mind and your body.

Stop with the "disabled people are just as capable" (cause we're often not) and exchange it with "disabled people are just as valuable"!
