The last six months have been harder than I expected. They were obviously survivable, but not without immense personal struggle. I am so tired of longsuffering and anxiety. Today I celebrate Yule with the idea that moving forward, I will accept happiness and joy without guilt. And I will continue to get my shit together because I deserve it, and not just because I need to do it for people depending on me.

It sounds stupid, but it’s harder for me to do than it looks. It’s hard to want to be here, sometimes. But I can’t put the burden of purpose on my family any longer. I have to want to do this for me, or it doesn’t work.

Six months from now this will be all worth it.

Happy Yule to all those who celebrate. May the Universe surround you with comfort, love and peace.
