Thinking about sammy being too nervous to ask dean if he can sleep in his bed — he’s too old for that now, and it’s not like Dean actually knows about the nightmares he’s been having about jess. So instead, sam waits for his brother to fall asleep, then quietly shuffles into the bed with him and lays just close enough to feel the warmth of Dean’s body without waking him up.

The funny thing is Dean would’ve let Sam cuddle up without any hesitation, he was still Dean’s baby and he always would be.
