Guys where is the appreciation for Agatha Raisin??
Guys you all need to watch a show on Sky One (British channel) called Agatha Raisin. Basically awesome, self-made independent businesswoman Raisin follows her dream of going into early retirement and moving to a small village. It basically follows her solving crimes and being generally bad ass.
There is:
- Ethnically diverse cast (multiple races, more than one person in the village, one of the central characters, both actual police officers, no gross stereotypes)
- Guys it’s a show in which one of the main characters is gay and has meaningful relationships! Also a character was bisexual and then acknowledged it and openly referred to them as bisexual
- Bechedal test passed every episode, lots of positive female friendships, one of her female friends fancies a guy who likes Agatha and she doesn’t hold it against her friend or fall out and form a ridiculous love triangle.
- All of the characters are so real and warm and relatable. Even polished and stylish Agatha is a mess sometimes.
- It’s also a really funny and fun show to watch, get to see some beautiful English countryside and have a good time for a while.
So yeah, go watch and support them.
