Moooore games with chapters! It is so nice playing small chunks at a time. If all games were split into little portions it would be so much easier for me to get into them. Playing Life is Strange where it takes a bit over 2h to complete a chapter.

WANTED: Supernatural video game with customizable hunters to fit your own style and gender. I want it to be multiplayer so you can play with a friend. And that it is episode based, basically each episode is a hunt. The system could be somewhat similar to “Life is strange” where your choices throughout the episodes matter later one in later episodes. Plz give me this!
show, don't tell:
anticipation - bouncing legs - darting eyes - breathing deeply - useless / mindless tasks - eyes on the clock - checking and re-checking
frustration - grumbling - heavy footsteps - hot flush - narrowed eyes - pointing fingers - pacing / stomping
sadness - eyes filling up with tears - blinking quickly - hiccuped breaths - face turned away - red / burning cheeks - short sentences with gulps
happiness - smiling / cheeks hurting - animated - chest hurts from laughing - rapid movements - eye contact - quick speaking
boredom - complaining - sighing - grumbling - pacing - leg bouncing - picking at nails
fear - quick heartbeat - shaking / clammy hands - pinching self - tuck away - closing eyes - clenched hands
disappointment - no eye contact - hard swallow - clenched hands - tears, occasionally - mhm-hmm
tiredness - spacing out - eyes closing - nodding head absently - long sighs - no eye contact - grim smile
confidence - prolonged eye contact - appreciates instead of apologizing - active listening - shoulders back - micro reactions
Writing Tips
Punctuating Dialogue
✧
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”
Journal drawings to start off the new year. One for this year (still work in progress) and attaching the one for 2022 as well. Last year was a whale year (haha there is a pun in there in my language, but not important). This year will be different, looking forward to it.
Have not given up on learning to draw better. Just life is life and dedication was easier during vacation. Here is a small sketch, trying to do Sam (supernatural). So hard making something that actually looks like a person (not that I am trying so hard). Also without an eraser.
Watching supernatural for the first time (mid season 4 atm), and I guess I wish there was a Buffy/supernatural mix kind of universe. I love the whole demonic Christian mythology in supernatural but I can’t get over how weak the portraits of the women are.
Pros: horror and comedy mix, the whole theme with demons and mythology, cute brotherly love
Cons: women in the series
What fandom should I explore? Need a new one, here are the ones I’ve been following throughout the years (in chronological order for when I started reading):
Gundam wing
Harry Potter (ofc)
Kingdom Hearts
Merlin
Sherlock (BBC)
Love the style in this manga. The story is bad, but the style is totally something I will try to learn from!
The realization that these two are basically the same character.
Laughed so hard reading this XD
I want there to be an official “pride and predjudice”-day where I get to binge watch the old bbc series and post about it here. Would also watch all the weird versions on that day like Bridget Jones, pride and prejudice and zombies. Are there any more?
So regarding that manga I want to draw.
I started the story in more of a fanfiction form. I read a bunch of ”villainess”-themed manga during my vacation. Never really read manga on this theme before, but apperantly it is a full fledged genre, sooo many out there. The basic prompt is usually something like: Was a villain, died a horrible death due to being mean/evil, gets to live again and strives to live smarter/better. Meets the handsome one who they did not get along with in their previous life.
Soo, I am also into history, both reliogious history and regular history and one of my favorite things in the world is the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Which brings me to my manga/fanfic prompt which is basically Judas lives again and gets to redo his life from before he met Jesus.
Here is a teaser!

Prologue
The sun stung his eyes from its low position as he neared the oak tree. The fields surrounding the meadow which had once been a familiar place now seemed foreign to him, nothing felt real anymore. What good was anything in this world that had suddenly become so empty.
He had stood far back in the gathering as the crucifix had been raised, seeing the tormented face of the man who had once been close. He was a coward who had not been able to watch for long even if he had tried to force himself to see the result of his actions.
A shudder went through his body and he fell to his knees, howling in pain. Jesus! Where had it all gone wrong. Kneeling in the dust as the sun was setting he screamed out his agony until his voice was gone. Until he could not cry anymore. With the last of the setting sun he tied the rope to the oak tree. He climbed up to one of the lower branches, and then thread the snare over his head. This place contained fond memories. He looked out one last time and then stepped of the branch.
Short one today. Played around with drawing emotion and practiced the basic 6, happiness, anger, fear, sadness, surprise, and disgust. Think disgust was the hardest to find. But there are several guides to how to draw/recognize these emotions which is helpful when applying them to a face.
I studied a bit about the basic 6 emotions and also a mood model called PAD (pleasure arousal and dominance). It was helpful for when making faces to apply the PAD model and asking myself: is it a pleasurable feeling? Is the feeling high or low on energy (fear vs boredom, or exhuberance vs relaxed)? Is the character dominant in their current state (anger vs fear both feelings are not pleasurable, both are high energy, but anger is dominant while fear is submissive)?
Felt excited that I had one interaction here, then realized it was a bot.
If you happen to come across this account and are also learning to draw feel free to comment (feel free to comment if you’re an amazing artist as well). I’d be happy to interact.
Hello world,
Todays practice session. Did not really have a plan, but wanted to try making eyes such as the ones in FAKE. Found it hard, so to feel better I drew for a while on top of pictures from the manga. Faking it until… well until further notice :P
Then looking at the manga, and the hot steamy pictures of Ryo and Dee making out. I long to get to the point where I can make characters tangle up believably. So I started drawing a body by first sketching its pose. Feel like I did okay with that one.
I will cheat as much as possible while still drawing my manga myself. Downloaded an app called MagicPoser so that I can more easily create the poses I want my characters to be in. Very nice for someone who knows what they want but really does not have the actual skill to do it.
So far I have not payed for it so only have access to the body “muscular man”. LOL. Anyway, here is a a very quick sketch based on a pose I made.
Btw, found this video about how to do a webtoon setup with procreate. Will try it out!
