CLAW's Research Group

CLAW's Research Group is underway!

Our annual research group has formed and is well underway! We are planning to present at the UHCL Annual Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts over the topic of High School Superheroines.

Challenge Accepted!

At the 2014 Fandom and Neomedia Studies (FANS) Conference, Helen McCarthy issued a challenge to her audience. She challenged us to find out why so many high school girls were kicking butt and saving the world. Challenge accepted! Our goal is to present at the UHCL conference and then hopefully present and publish through FANS.

UHCL's Day of Service

Hope Village

UHCL's annual Day of Service is coming up on Sat, Mar 7th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. CLAW is volunteering at Hope Village where we get to wash 5 buses. Bubble fight! Sign up on the Day of Service Registration page.

Day of Service Kick-Off

You can also register for the Day of Service Kick-Off on Fri, Mar 6 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. That's right after CLAW! You will get a free dinner, a free t-shirt, a journal, and training for the Day of Service project.

PJ and Popcorn Afterparty

After volunteering at Hope Village, we will have a pajama party at UFA's Clubhouse while we wait for our clothes to dry. Our clothes will be wet and soapy after washing the buses. Can you say pajamas, slippers, popcorn, and videogames?
