Look. I get seeing a headline and taking it a certain way. I get the kneejerk reaction to not read what someone says in good faith. But Mackie has been pretty open about a lot of things in his life. So you can find out pretty quickly how he feels about things and that he is teaching his kids non toxic masculinity.

Every criticism of Captain America; Brave New World means nothing to me, and here is why: My 11 and 15-year-old nephews, who are Black boys, loved Captain America: Brave New World. Every other review or criticism is invalid to me because when 15-year-old Billy said, “That was the best Captain America movie” and 11-year-old Manny ran around the house the next day saying, “I’m Captain America” that’s all that mattered. That’s all that matters. Two Black boys saw it and loved it. That’s important. Sam Wilson is important.

I have another late night thought. I recently learned you can't treat all your ships the same and have the same type of Kiki sessions with the fandom because they are all vastly different. Let me explain.
Some of of my top Ships are SamBucky (when I say this is my otp, I mean this is my OTP), Okoye x Attuma (Hot. End of sentence), GoGe (Gojo and Geto are the true definition of right person wrong time. As in time period. As in universe) Galphaba (*in my Thorgy voice* love lesbians) and Zutara (shut up, I dont have to explain myself) SamBucky stands out because it's the only White x Black person ship (Galphaba doesn't count)
I'm a black cis woman, and tbh, most of my ships are from anime, poc, or have undefined races, so I usually don't think about certain microagressions or ignorance when it comes to how characters are treated because there isn't much room for it to come up. But with SamBucky it is.
I thought we were all in agreement that Sam doesn't to be loved on, and Bucky is so embarrassingly in love with him. But apparently, people only use Sam as an excuse to talk about Bucky. Now, I am genuinely only interested in Marvel again because of that small "I love you, buddy" (and still am) but I feel like I contributed to the influx of Bucky love when it's a movie about Sam and I feel so icky. All I want to see is a Rom Com between Sam and Bucky but so many people just want Bucky.

Damn, I forgot how intense the mcu fandom is. From people turning a Sam lead movie purely about Bucky to people saying the movie was really bad followed by people defending the movie and then the Captain America tag mainly being st*cky (both individually and together). I feel like I contributed to the mess because I'm purely a romantic, and I am weak to seeing canon interactions with my ships. But yeah, i think it came off as me only liking Bucky when i would bare knuckle box Bucky for a chance to nap on Sams chest

This is a mess but I can feel my hyperfixation with Sam and his relationships taking over.
There were multiple reasons I left the MCU Fandom, but the two maim ones were
1. I don't care about hero movies anymore.
2. As someone who got into the MCU because of Sam it became very obvious that Sam was just a stand in for people.
It's almost like Sam was the " X Reader" when it came to his relationship with Bucky and/or Steve. I remember back in, I think 2019/2020 I want on this whole tangent about people using Sam as a live in therapist/dildo and it was taking out all the fun
And now, even though Captain America, SAM WILSON, is trending. I only see Bucky and Steve, which is crazy work. It's SAMS movie and he's himself isn't trending.
I got pulled back into the Fandom again because I adore the SamBucky ship and even of the word, "buddy" was attached to it, I never would've thought I'd her an, "I love you". But my love for the ship itself has been for my adoration for Sam. Honestly I'm really only interested in the fandom/slightly the MCU for more SamBucky moments and when Sam did those really cunty wing attacks.
I just needed to say this because it really is so disheartening and frustrating to see a movie with a Black lead be pushed to the side again for everyone's white fave.
Waaiiiiiit, listen I've stopped watching superhero movies, mainly because I've lost interest in the genre but thiiiiissss

If I was writing/directing Thunderbolts it would be filmed like a Real Housewives Show or like Bad girls club and every 10 minutes they would cut to Bucky in his confessional on the phone with Sam talking about how much every one is pissing him off and how much he misses Sam.
