How quickly does your beast form's hair grow back? If say. Someone cut a large chunk of it off?

“The fur of my alternate form grows back at a similar rate to any animal. It takes a couple of weeks for the space to mostly fill back over, I don’t often cut it so I only can go from experience in the wounds I’ve received in combat. I am suspicious to why you’d need to know this, mysterious man-spawn. I am aware of the money that Taguel fur can produce, and I would hope this isn’t your intentions.

Where do you keep your beaststone?

“I try to keep it on my person as much as I can, ambushes can come at any time and being caught without my main line of defence and offence would be imprudent.  When I am bathing and sleeping are obvious exceptions, but they aren’t too far out of my reach at such times. As for where on my person, I usually keep it tucked into my armour or in a small pouch at my back… I don’t know why this information is necessary for you to have however”

                  After she had taken him back, he relaxed against the fabric of the cot. Not able to be be embarrassed of how easily he could be picked up. It was no hidden fact that the body under the mage’s clothes was a frail one. He flinched as she touched the skin around his wound, letting out a cry in pain. He was unable to answer back to her, but merely nodded instead, breathing heavily.

                   As soon as he touched the wound, he let out a soft cry. Against his will, he started crying, his hand fumbling around , grabbing Panne’s wrist. He had never been able to feel this much pain before, so he was assuming it was the poison that coated the outside of the dagger that had passed through his flesh.

                  He took a meaningless breath, letting it out shakily. He had to be cured at one point, and if it was now, he had no way of telling her she couldn’t put the salve on the wound; not that he’d tell her that anyways. Silencing his tears, he lifted her hand without the salve, squeezing it gently. Giving her a nod to keep putting the medicine on.

Though the sound of Henry’s pained cry clutched to her heart, she didn't cease her actions, knowing it was what was best for him to have it applied. When the pale hand closed around her wrist however she did pause, her face turning to look down at his face. She could see the agony on his features, the ever present smile missing from his face. “I know it hurts… But it is what is best, it will help you more than the useless toxin the humans made you” She explained, doing her best to put the rest of the salve on her mate’s wound.

When she finished, the Taguel leaned down, licking gently at the tears on his face before pressing her forehead to his. “… You scared me” She finally said softly, a nervous side of her surfacing that she only allowed the mage to see.

That had gone over much better than she first thought it would, many times in her head had things turned for the worse at reveling the truth. So the acceptance had come as a surprise to Lucnia, with it through it meant she no longer needed the guise as the hero king Marth. Rather fight as the name that her parents choose for her, the rest of the days and nights that followed were pretty normal with the battles that took place with the Risen.

Taking the nightly watch was something that Lucnia didn’t have to do, but felt like it was part of her duty even if Chrom disagreed quite a bit. Gazing out into the fire in front of her reflected the dancing flames off of her own eyes, the sight of fire lately served only as a reminder how everything was a flame in the future.. It was only times like these when Lucnia was alone did any form of sad expression show on her face, when no one else was around to see them a princess had to be strong after all.

Hearing some movement through she glanced back to see it was Panne, the sad look had been wiped away instantly to be replaced by a light smile at the Taguel. That must mean it was time to switch night watchers, Lucnia was about to leave when suddenly Panne spoke up and stopped her from moving. The words that were said next it was hard to describe the new emotion she felt, it was torn between happiness and bitter-sweetness even if it didn’t show.

"Thank you, Panne I want to do everything that I can to make a better future.. Not just for me or the Shepard’s, but for everyone else who cannot protect themselves." Emotions were a hard thing to keep under warps, there were times that Lucnia just wanted to break down somewhere from all the stress and sadness that came with memories. It wasn’t an image that fit a princess in the midst of war through, so those will always remain hidden for the moral of every one.

“That is quite the declaration” The Taguel said, a small sigh leaving her throat as she tilted her head back, staring up at the sky overhead, dark eyes taking in how the whole canopy above them seemed to light up with stars.

“Sometimes there is nothing that can be done, sorrow is as much a part of this life as happiness is” She continued, sharp instinct not missing the way the Princess’ voice seemed to waver as she spoke, though she knew better than to speak on it. She had suffered her own share of hardships in her life and knew better then to bring to light those of someone else.

“But the confidence and courage you carry, is reassuring that you might succeed” She finished, lowering her gaze to look back to the girl sitting beside her on their wooden seat. “But who carries you, when you carry everyone else?”

                   This had been one of his worst ideas. Ever. The man was merely making the pain in his side worse, and with every drag he cringed in pain. But, wanting the victory of reaching his mate, he kept dragging himself, until he reached the familiar eyes of Panne.

                   Gently he grabbed Panne’s leg as she approached him, trying to answer back to her as she yelled for him to get back to the tent. But with all energy depleted he was unable to do this. So he merely smiled at her, ignoring the pain that was attempting to take over him. Trying to explain why he had came for her, he merely squeaked out: ❝Panne…❞

                   After that, he collapsed, still attempting to hold onto the female taguel. But his eyes fluttered shut, energy depleted. He wouldn’t pass out, knowing how much that would worry her.

 The Taguel sighed, astounded how irrational her mate was being. When his pale hand wrapped around her leg she glowered, not believing the smile on his lips for a moment, especially not when the pained whine of her name left his lips.

Tucking the salve she’d gotten into her small pack she slid her arms under the younger man, scooping him up with ease. He was clearly exhausted, and had only further strained both himself and his injury in his little stunt. Carrying him back to his tent she was gentle as she could be in tucking him back into the bed roll.

“That was incredibly foolish Henry…” She told him quietly, her voice laced with a worry she didn’t bother to hide as she tugged up the fabric of his shirt, long fingers touching lightly to the flesh around his wound. “Do not worry me like that again, I meant what I told you when I said I would never abandon you” She reassured, her eyes holding to his pained face before retrieving the salve from where she’d tucked it away, dipping tanned fingers in for a decent amount, doing her best to be gentle as she began to spread it over the injury. “… I am sorry if this hurts you” The Taguel breathed, leaning down to nuzzle his cheek softly, knowing it had to hurt.

Inigo had attempted to make sure that he had been far away from camp. Other than a sword he had been unarmed. Eyes closed he had began to lose himself in imaginary music. He’d open them when he felt himself stumble or trip over his feet. Sometimes he wished he had the grace of his mother. 

He had not noticed Panne standing there watching him or he would have stopped right away. He was still embarrassed at this talent, despite it being his strength. His back had been to Panne when she had spoken to him.

"Dancing’s not my only outlet for my strength, it seems that way though. It’s a more graceful activity though. What brings you to this side of the forest though? Donnel setting out rabbit traps again?"

Rabbit Traps. The words brought a frown to the woman’s face as soon as they were spoken. She’d spent the majority of her life in hiding, and didn’t pretend to understand many of the ways of mankind. The first time she’d found herself tumbling into a trap set by the farm ridden human her humiliation and surprise had been on par.

With a scowl she shook her head, pushing off from where she’d been leaning against a tree at the edge of the clearing. “I often walk these forests in the evenings, it’s calming, and I prefer to spend time away from the warren the manspawn have built if I can” She explained. “This is the first I’ve seen you out this way, do you often come here to perform such acts?”

                     After hearing she had to leave, he sadly nodded, watching her leave for the medic tent. He writhed in pain, but decided that it was best to get some more medicine to put on the wound, since the pain was too much for him. A hand went up to touch the wound, but he quickly pulled it back, sighing.

                     Although Panne had been gone for only a bit, his mind said this was far too long. Slowly he climbed out of bed, dragging himself to the medic tent, belieiving that’s where’d she be.

She’d meant to be quick. Her intentions were to fetch her own tonic from her tent, a tent which at this point served mostly as storage more than actual living quarters as most of her time and nights were spent by Henry’s side.

But her homemade mixtures were nowhere to be found, and the Taguel had all but torn apart the tent in her search. Her mate was in pain, and she refused to just sit there and do nothing more than hold his hand, an act that had no sustenance in helping any more than a wish could stop a rainfall.

When she finally found the salve she sought, she stepped from the tent, only to be met with an appalling sight. Henry was crawling, literally crawling across the ground towards her, the anguish clear on his features as he did.

“Henry!” She all but barked as long legs strode towards him, dropping down to the dirt at his side. “What are you doing! You are injured and should be at rest, where are you possibly trying to go!”

[[ Speak Child ]] Closed start for here-comes-the-rickening

She didn't understand this boy, nor did she pretend to. Though countless times she’d made it quite clear she had no interest in forming any bond of ‘friendship’ with the human’s she shared company with, the small mage was as persistent as the day they’d first met.

While the Taguel was more often than not able to just ignore him, pretend she wasn’t able to notice the figure that seemed to always appear when she went anywhere alone… Today had gotten to be quite enough.

“Man-child! Must you tag along everywhere after me like you are some sort of water fowl unable to keep up with its mother?” The woman had asked, turning sharply on the boy that was a few paces behind her. “My inability to evade your insistent obsession with me is baffling. If you have something to ask me, speak, if not, please leave me be” She knew his questions were usually relentless and senseless but if it would end this charade she would consent.

                     ❝N-No…❞ The man weakly choked out, grabbing the woman’s hand, ❝Don’t leave… I feel safer…❞ Not being able to manage the rest of his words out, he held onto Panne still, his breaths now coming out in wheezes. Now, his much more weaker side was showing to his mate, but he had no way of preventing this from happening. Panne was the only one he wanted to even be in the tent with him, and he promised to keep it that way until he was feeling better.

                     Although the healers said the medicine would help him somewhat, the pain just seemed to get worse. Maybe because the curses he put on himself? But they were supposed to prevent pain, not add to it.

“No?” She repeated, surprised as she looked down to the man grasping at her hand. Letting out a exasperated sigh she slowly sat back down to the face the one she called her mate. “Henry” She told him firmly, reaching out to gently brush white hair back from where it was sticking to his forehead. “You're in pain, let me help you” She insisted, her voice laced with a concern that didn't often show.

Shaking hands gently wrapped around his, pained to hear how tortured his breaths sounded. “I will be gone only minutes, and then I promise I will stay here with you. These humans had no idea what they were doing when they treated your injury”

                     The pain in Henry’s side made him squirm more, still not used to this burning sensation in the left side of him. Not wanting to worry the taguel in his tent, he wearily smiled, holding gently onto her hand, squeezing it whenever fresh pain came. Coughs could be heard from out of their tent, mostly from Henry attempting to usher words out of his mouth, or talk to Panne.

                     The man had been stabbed much earlier in his side while cursing a something or the other. The attack had much come out of no where, probably from a bandit or ruffian. But either way, there was slick poison around the knife, only adding to the pain once they removed said poison.

 The Taguel was worried, that much was clear on her face. The way the darkmage clutched to her hand she could only imagine what sort of pain he must be feeling. The stabbing alone had been bad, but when the healers revealed there was a poison they were trying to remove, Panne had been unable to explain the worry that had filled her chest.

Even now when she sat by his bedroll, watching as he forced that smile to his lips despite the pain that laced his words, she was worried. The healers had removed the poison but as far as she was concerned, human medicines might as well be mud rubbed in her mate's wound.

“Henry, you do not need to pretend to be happy for me. I know you are in pain” She told him softly, squeezing his hand lightly. “I am going to get something for your side, this is completely absurd” She told him firmly, giving one last squeeze before she dropped his hand, pulling herself to her feet with every intent on getting the salve she made, knowing it would make a world of difference.

[[ Attentions ]] - Closed start for childrenofdancers

Dancing. The Taguel wasn’t ignorant to the activity but she wasn’t knowledgeable in it either. She had seen Olivia dance before, and like most of the company had been mesmerized. Though for Panne, her infatuation had come from the mechanics of the activity. How a human body was able to hold itself in such a way, how the grace that came from it also radiated strength, and the obvious muscle control needed for such elegance.

When she had stumbled across the Dancer’s son in the woods that night, her attentions were once more captured, though this time her enthrallment had found a new target. When the boy danced, his strength were clear above his mothers. While her talent lay in a charmed grace, an elegance that mimicked floating… His came from power, from refinement in his muscle that was arguably impressive. She knew his name, her son had spoke of him before, but it didn’t matter. She had no interest in him outside of his ability hold himself the way he proved that evening he could.

“… Impressive man-spawn. But tell me, why do you allow this frivolity to be your only outlet for such strength, why not use them in battle?” She spoke from where she had been standing silently in the tree, watching.

She had her eyes.

It was something small, something specific but to the Taguel it had been enough. When the girl from the future had revealed herself to the company, many had been skeptic… But Panne had taken one look into eyes that held the same determination for a future without struggle and pain and in an instant been reminded of the same eyes that had held so much remorse when the Exalt had apologized for her people.

It was all Panne had needed to harbour respect for what Lucina had come to their time to achieve. Though she woman had never spoken once to the Princess, she had already affirmed her allegiance to her cause, though it was silent.

… Until a night came that the Taguel found herself relieving the Princess from evening watch. She considered keeping silent as she normally did, but something that night left her feeling compelled to speak. Stepping over the small fallen log the girl had chosen as a seat for the evening, Panne settled beside her, dark eyes choosing to watch the flames of the camp fire that danced in front of them rather than to look to Lucina herself.

“You’re a brave girl, Princess…” She said quietly, her tone firm, though it held a softness that normally didn’t linger below. “Risking everything to try and find a better future for your people. Your aunt would have been proud”
