My honest opinion on the Natsu vs Gray Drake comparision when it pertains to the context of the “hottest”.

Personally I find such memes to be spiteful, childish and unnecessary. There’s really no need for it. You can basically show your adoration for your character in different ways without putting a char down and making your fav char look good. This is juvenile bs that teens generally do.

One post with even with harmless intentions (yes it’s harmless esp when the user said they love Gray) can certainly invoke unnecessary fan wars circa 2013 between two rival characters if you are not careful what you say

and it can put people off and rub them the wrong way.

I’m sure @Natsu-is-happiness’s intention was not to do so, but it comes as prudish. There’s really no point in comparing both of these characters because they have quite different bodies, faces, etc. Besides Gray was shown in two small panels, while Natsu got many panels of his shirtless body, so the comparison is unfair in proportion to what the chapter’s content was. There’s absolutely zero reason to involve Gray in here in a Natsu appreciation post using memes. It shows insecurity as well and makes such Natsu fans look overly obsessive and annoying.

I know my post won’t get much likes or reblogs, but I had to come clean and be honest about it. I definitely do hate the fact that @natsu-is-happiness is getting hate because she doesn’t deserve that regardless of what she typed because overall these are fictional characters, and the emotional feelings of real life people are far more important than pieces of paper.
