Outing; Mukuro & Peko
"I know a nice park we could sit at, if you like," Mukuro replied, getting the bill and quickly paying. She got up, and motioned for Peko to do the same.
"... Very well," she said, standing and going to follow Mukuro.

Outing; Mukuro & Peko
"I know a nice park we could sit at, if you like," Mukuro replied, getting the bill and quickly paying. She got up, and motioned for Peko to do the same.
"... Very well," she said, standing and going to follow Mukuro.

"It is unusually clear for this time of year." Didn’t we already talk about this? Mukuro swallowed and looked at Peko.
"Would you like to pay and go somewhere else? I know a nice place."
Peko took the opportunity to escape the current conversation topic enthusiastically. "... Whatever you think is best," she half-mumbled, lamenting over her failure to even hold a conversation properly. She was doing so well, too... It wasn't as if she needed friends, of course, but speaking with another who knew of her situation couldn't hurt, right?

Mukuro swallowed. Oh. I see the way this relationship is. I’m not going to say anything, though. I wouldn’t want to upset her.
"Hmm. That’s interesting. Your life is very different from mine."
Peko quieted again, contemplating her own thoughts. The fact that she had been caught off guard by such a casual question was odd; it was surely a logical assumption, given the information Peko had given Mukuro, but... she trailed off, refusing to continue the line of thought. This could wait.
Peko cleared her throat. "... It's... nice weather."

I was right, a bodyguard.
"So you are like siblings, essentially?" Mukuro replied, appreciating Peko’s sudden talkativeness.
Peko paused. She narrowed her eyes, more at herself than at Mukuro. She had never... considered them anything close to siblings. The relationship between the young master and his sister was entirely unlike anything that would ever happen between Peko and him. She was completely put off by the thought, as well... A sibling...?
Catching herself, she answered, "No, not at all. His relationship with his sibling is nothing like mine to him. I'm not related to him in any way, even through adoption... I was only raised alongside him."
Outing; Mukuro & Peko
"Yes, I understand, too. I felt I was obligated to protect Junko, as she is my younger twin." A small smile played on Mukuro’s lips as she spoke, relieved to actually be able to speak about this with someone. From what I can infer, she’s a bodyguard of some sort.
"I suppose that’s why your talent is kendo, then?"
"That is correct. I was brought into his family for the sole purpose of protecting him, and although I had never been told why I was chosen to be trained in kendo of anything, because of it I was able to become... supposedly the best kendoka of my age," she said, "though that's quite irrelevant overall. My ranking means little in comparison to my duties. ... Though, I suppose it allowed me to follow him to Hope's Peak."
She rambled on uncharacteristically, not even noticing the detail she had let slip.
Outing; Mukuro & Peko
"Well, yes, having identical situations would be impossible." Mukuro glanced down at her now empty plate, sighing. What should I say in response to Pekoyama’s question?
"I… have done everything for my sister. I could not protect her when I was weak, so I enlisted in the military to become stronger. I would die for her, I have killed for her," Mukuro said, pausing, "She is my world."
"... I understand. I go to similar lengths, though likely more often, if I had to make a judgment. I cannot say I had a choice in the matter in the beginning... but I do not regret my role in life. I'd even go so far as to say something similar might have happened even if I hadn't had this job from the beginning." It was hard-- no, impossible-- to imagine life without the young master, and although the life of a tool was a cruel one, if it meant she was protecting him she'd never complain.
Outing; Mukuro & Peko
"I completely understand. Words are empty air, to most people," Mukuro responded. I honestly had no idea this would come from her. I guess she’s a friend, now.
Peko didn't speak for a moment, looking out passively at the passerby as she fiddled with her food. She hadn't divulged even that information to anyone her entire time at Hope's Peak, and she felt almost vulnerable after doing so. Was it really the right choice to trust anyone, let alone the Super High-School Level Soldier...? Somehow, Peko wasn't too worried.
"... Forgive me, I'm curious," she began, "what lengths have you gone to for your sister? These two relationships may share similarities in our roles, but the situations cannot possibly be identical."
//............................................ wow this is quite a bit of absolutely nothing
Outing; Mukuro & Peko
"…I never expected that from you, Pekoyama-san. It’s somewhat… comforting, I suppose, knowing that someone relates to you." Mukuro made eye contact with the woman across the table from her as she spoke, conveying the sincerity of her words.
"... I suppose so. I don't come across those who could relate even the smallest amount every day... Often, some will say that they'd die for another, but when it comes down to it, their statements are false. They cannot relate." She sighed, taking a sip of her drink.
Not often did Peko find herself speaking to another so voluntarily; such ease usually only came when speaking to the young master, the young mistress, and occasionally an acquaintance such as Gundam.
Free Time Event: Kirigiri&Peko
"Ah, this? Simple biology work," she said absentmindedly, "nothing interesting, to be honest."
She noted the almost sour look on Pekoyama’s face, thinking that she might still be reeling from her blunder. It certainly wasn’t a bad quality to retain regret for a time, but to dwell on one’s mistakes could be dangerous. Kirigiri decided to keep an eye on her for a little bit.
"And you? What are you using to pass the time?"
Despite her somewhat apparent disinterest in the conversation as it had become, she answered, "... History. It is one of my weaker subjects, in a sense."

The words that Peko uttered took Mukuro by surprise. Should I ask? The arrival of the food gave her a few more moments to think
"… How? I know that’s a bit nosy of me, and you do not have to answer under any means, but it’s rare to find someone who can relate to that." Mukuro was normally never this straightforward with people she knew, but this development had peaked her curiosity.
"... A childhood friend of mine. I share a similar relationship with him. It is his will that I do not reveal much more, however." She bit her lip. It'd be nearly impossible to figure out who, she knew, especially considering the lack of information-- the other didn't even know if he went to Hope's Peak. But, even so, she felt unsafe going into too much detail; Kuzuryuu's protection came above friendship of any kind, especially to that of a girl who knew her way around weapons so well.
Outing; Mukuro & Peko
Mukuro clenched her jaw, stunned by this perfect analysis of the relationship between her and her sister.
"You’re completely right," Mukuro said, after a short while. Is it truly that easy to see? It wasn’t like she’d tried to keep her relationship with her sister secret, but it was a little unsettling to hear someone describe it so perfectly.
"... So I was. I expected as much." She wasn't planning on telling Mukuro her life story, but the girl's situation was similar to hers, in the barest terms. Peko couldn't imagine it was exactly the same-- the twins still held an air of familiarity, causality, and friendliness at times-- but to protect a single person of utter importance was a goal (or, in her case, an obligation of sorts) she shared.
She cleared her throat. "I can relate, Ikusaba."

Giggling she shook her head. “Ah… Pekoyama-san it’s not a Pokemon character, no. It’s a game in itself. It’s all about looking after different kinds of dogs. I think you might like it.”
"Different... kinds of dogs?" She considered Chiaki's words. "... What kinds of dogs?"
