this  is  an  independent  (s)low  activity  roleplay  blog  for  geralt  of  rivia  from  the  witcher  franchise .

i  go  by  riv , my  pronouns  are  he / they  and  my  timezone  is  gmt+1 . i’m  neurodivergent  and  i  work  an  irregular  schedule  on  my irl  job , so  my  presence  on  the  dash  will  be  spotty .

i  pick  inspiration  from  a  mix  of  sources & personal  headcanons . if  you  don’t  like  the  source  material  i  use  for  my  blog , consider  leaving  me  alone . i’m  just  here  to  write  and  enjoy the  same  things  you  do , including  fandoms  other  than  the  witcher . i’m  always  willing  to  come  up  with  new  crossovers  to  write  with  anyone  who’s  interested .

I sure have been in a hole when I look at the date on my last posts. Life sure got in the way and my RP time went to discord a lot. Either way, I'm binge watching Sup.ernatural for the first time and my sole braincell keeps saying I need a blog now.

I won't be online much during the rest of August because life is crazy busy right now. I just survived day 5 of a 7 day work marathon. On Friday I go on a trip to Disneyland for 6 days. So by the time I'm back home, it'll be basically September. I might be able to check in on discord much easier from time to time.

          GERALT DID NOT HAVE ANY particular fondness for King’s Landing. It was warm, crowded and dull. The sole reason the witcher was there, was because he was currently in talks with some southern lord. The man’s hold was located somewhere between the capital, and the northern regions where Geralt hailed from. It had already been a rare occasion for the white-haired witcher to be lured as south as this man’s keep, for most coin could be earned where it was coldest — in the north, creatures known to most as old wives tales roamed free. In the south, tales to be told near the fire were far less, and so were any odd creatures that sprouted forth from them. And yet, this lord had called upon the help of a witcher, for he believed his lands were haunted.

          Grain harvests had failed, cattle fell sick and died prematurely, leaving behind poisoned and spoiled meat not fit for human consumption. Many feared a plague — mass deaths and mass emigration from these spoiled lands. Something was going on. Maesters, nor the Witcher, could put their finger on it.

          By the lord’s request, the witcher had accompanied the man to the capital to request an audience from the king sometime prior or after the lavish banquet that had been announced as part of a series of festivities. Geralt must give it to the man stood before him now — the witcher did not look as clean as he had at the banquet several days prior. The city streets and the common folk were closer to where he belongs than any lavish banquet inside long and large halls filled with the irritable moans and mewls of minstrels, fair maidens and boastful knights.

          Now it was this man who looked quite out of place among the common folk, perhaps just as the witcher had stood out among lords, ladies and higher folk days prior. “Geralt... — Your brother will speak of the White Wolf.” Lord Stannis had been the sole member of the royal family who had approached the white-haired oddling at the banquet. Many (if any) had only cast the witcher a glance of suspicion. He could have a guess why. Without his trusted swords and armor, all washed and dolled up, he was unfortunate enough to resemble the valyrian bloodline...
