Loaded with tons of esoterica and other magicks.
Having trouble visualizing?
I’ll be honest. As soon as someone says “Antheia, think of a bright light between your hands,” I’m out. While visualization works very well for me when I’m grounding, meditating, or shielding, I find it hinders rather than helps when I get to actual spellcraft and more complicated energy work. While visualization is a skill that is very useful and good to practice, here’s a few solutions.
Do something physical. When you’re putting up your shields, lift your hands with your shield. When you’re cleansing yourself or something, rub it down as though you were washing mud and grime off of yourself/the object. Imagine the heat of your skin is the energy that you’re putting into something. While you might feel a little silly at first, I’ve found that doing something along with your energy work can be really helpful in putting you into the right mindset. In terms of spell craft, sometimes making something that you can hold physically will help, as well.
Command it. You will do as you please. Saying it out loud can also be helpful if you’re having trouble visualizing. “I’m raising my shields/My shields are up.” “The energy will…” “My intent is…” Simple commands can be very effective, just don’t get too caught up in having good grammar or anything. Sometimes one word works. Sometimes you might want to dictate what you feel or what you want to happen.
Do some breathing exercises. These are not for everybody, but again, something physical for you to do. A very simple exercise is to imagine your shields swelling big big bigger when you inhale, and then coming in tight around you, right against your skin, when you exhale. Works with energy, works with some spells, helps with meditation and grounding.
Close your eyes. Sometimes, especially when you’re a beginner and can’t see what you’re doing, just closing your eyes can make a difference. By taking away that sense, you sharpen your other senses a little more, and it gets a lot easier to practice. When I’m in a very high or low part of my mood disorder, I have a lot of trouble concentrating on magic and on energy. I find that closing my eyes can help me by disconnecting me a little from what I’m seeing and I can pay more attention to what I’m actually doing.
Again, these are things that I do when I’m having issues with visualization. If they don’t work for you, try something else! These aren’t the only ways, and you can combine them however you’d like. I’d also love to know the practices that other people use in energy work, be it visualization, one of these techniques, a combination, or something else entirely!

🔥 gather: seeded dandelions, matches, burnable area, paper, taglock
🔥 you can choose to make a ring of dandelions like in the gif, or bundle, or simply use one. note, the more dandelions the more wishes you destroy.

💜Enjoy this list with the common precautions taken with all magical and herbal endevors.
Some herbs are not meant to be ingested, while others are not meant to be used topically, or undilluted. Many people can be allergic to the most common of ingredients (think of peanut or strawberry allergies) and some may be unsafe for use by pregnant women, (such as lavender or pennyroyal). Please excersize common sense as well as ethical sense, as always.
How would one engage in sex magick?
First of all, you don’t need a partner. Sex magic can be done solo. You can do it with other people, of course - this part was super badly phrased, I’m sorry, what I meant was I recommend you discuss with your partner(s) beforehand if you plan to engage in sex magic, so they can be consenting and aware, and okay with engaging in that sort of thing with you. You can still generate similar energy alone, however.
Sex magic is about channeling the energy generated during sex / orgasm / climax toward an intent. It’s like any other method of raising energy, just super intimate, and seen as a bit of a taboo tbh.
Seeing as I still haven’t personally practiced, just read a lot about it, I’m not sure if the orgasm is critical to sex magic or not. Everything seems to lean that way - keep your mind on your intent as well as you can, but obviously don’t like force it, just be aware why you’re doing what you’re doing; then at the moment before you’re about to go off, focus as hard as you can on what you want to happen, then when the orgasm happens, it’s supposed to, what are not childish words for this, release your intent-mingled energy out into the world so it can happen.
So, yeah, how would one engage in sex magic?
Step one: decide you want to do sex magic.
Obviously it isn’t required to practice magic or be a witch or magic user, it’s just one of many methods. Like, if you don’t wanna do it, that’s cool. But there also isn’t anything “baneful” or “evil” about sex magic. It’s not “bad,” just different.
You can do it alone, so it’s okay if you’re single. If you want to do this with someone, it would be really cool if you brought it up and asked if they’d be okay participating too. Because, you’re still engaging in a spell / ritual deal. It would be like making sure people are okay with doing certain things in bed too, right?
Step two: learn some safety stuff.
And yes, this seriously matters. You don’t want to hurt yourself, or any partner(s), during this. It’s supposed to be comfortable and pleasurable.
[Safety Precautions with Penetrative Sex Magic]
Step three: pick your intent and method.
What do you want to have happen? What’s your end goal for the spell? It works the same way as doing a spell for any other purpose. Decide what you want to do.
And how are you gonna get there? Will it be alone? With a partner? With toys or without? Is there a certain way you like to, err, play, or do you want to experiment with other things?
@niaskotl has a cool practice called [“sigil swallowing”] that’s pretty cool.
Step four: do sex magic.
I’m not gonna get into grisly details. However, I will say: don’t rush it, just enjoy the sensation. Build up as much energy as you can toward your intent by taking your time.
Holy shit, what would edging do in regards to sex magic? Lol.
Sorry. *ahem* Anyway.
Again, you don’t need to hardcore focus on what you want to have happen the entire time - just remember why you’re doing what you’re doing. Then, when you feel “close,” bring the intention forward, focus on it then, and then when you release, let your thoughts go with it.
OH. I almost forgot. The fluids themselves are super potent as well. So even if you can’t necessarily climax, but, you know… It can be put onto sigils to charge stuff. Yep.
And there you go. I hope that helps you. Yeah, fun stuff.

Simple Protection Spell
-Sit or stand before any fire. Look into the flames (or flame, if using a candle).
-Visualize the fire bathing you with glowing, protective light.
-The fire creates a flaming, shimmering sphere around you. If you wish, say the following or similar words:
“Craft the spell in the fire;
Craft it well; Weave it higher.
Weave it now of shining flame;
None shall come to hurt or maim.
None shall pass this fiery wall;
None shall pass No, none at all.”
-Repeat this simple yet effective ritual every day when in need.
Small Witchy Challenges to Reconnect to Your Practice
Sometimes it can be hard to really feel connected to the actual magickal side of being a witch. Personally I’m involved with my deities or other spiritual/personal things 110% of the time but I don’t always feel connected to my actual witchcraft. So here are a few small magickal challenges I thought up to help anyone in a similar situation.
✨ – Set aside a time once a week to burn a candle. Make it a color that connects to whatever aspect of your life you would like insight or growth in and spend 10 minutes watching the flame and opening yourself to whatever it is you’re seeking.
✨ – If you have any books with pre written simple spells in them (most intro to witchcraft books have a section) flip through it and find a spell that calls to you and do it! As written, just to practice getting out of your head and going through the motions of spell work.
✨ – Send out blessings. To your crush. A new friend. Your best friend. Your mom. Whoever.
✨ – Call up your energy into your palms and then place them on your own heart to send yourself love and healing and to connect yourself to your energy.
✨ – Spend some time picturing the kind of witch you wish you were, your ideal witchsona if you will. Then tell yourself that’s exactly who you already are. Keep reminding yourself whenever you feel disconnected from your craft that you are already an unbelievable witch.
✨ – Go back through your old book of shadows/grimoire and reflect on what’s worked for you in the past.
✨ – Wake up and tell yourself first thing “I am a witch. I am magick. My life is full of magick. I see and feel all the magick around me. I am a witch.”
✨ – Pick out outfits or accessories that make you feel witchy. (Bonus points for intentionally planning a super witchy outfit on the full moon)
✨ – Do a spell for anything that’s coming up in your life that you want to work out a certain way, no matter how trivial it seems. Test this week? Do a spell. About to start a work out routine? Do a spell. First date? Spell. Gotta stay on budget grocery shopping? Spell. Your worth it, it’s good practice, and if it all ends up working even better!
✨ – Write down spell ideas as they come to you. Save them as notes in your phone and then come back and flesh them out in your BOS later.
✨ – Come up with your own challenges! If you’d like to share, tag me on your post or send them to me, I’d love to hear your ideas!
