You are beautiful.

There's something fascinating about how Gilgamesh is always described as young, young and beautiful, so polished and upkept all of the time, even in the face of battle, a god. And how after Enkidu dies he is anything but, ugly and withered, he is still human after all. Yet he is parrelling a wild Enkidu, someone who was described as beautiful and godlike through all the dirt and mud. In the literal stripping of his former wild self he becomes less beautiful, the humanity leaves an ugly regret on Enkidu both inside and out. He forgets the wild of his youth. Them seeking a more desired idealised past self, than the true physical one they already had. A deep insecurity of being human is so prevalent throughout the tablets, change is seen as negative (to gilkidu) but inevitable, choices are made that cannot be taken back and having to accept a new self in it is the only way to move on.

Nanna I thought it would be cool for his face to be backwards, dark side of the moon, but also i wanted him to look similar color and appearence to Inanna and Shamash < lets look like papa

With Shamash i didnt want to give him a beard but ive always liked the idea of makeup that resembled how they were stylised - every time ive drawn shamash before it was supposed to be there too lol
