She didn’t speak a word until age seven.

She always turns on subtitles because things make more sense when she can see them.

Speaking of which, never give her a list verbally. Always write it down. She will not remember it if you just say it.

She can not estimate without a point of reference: How many people were in the crowd? No clue. That’s about a litre right? Don’t ask her. How far away was it? Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh….

She chews on the ends of her sleeves…and hoodie strings…and headphone wires…and pretty much anything.

Allison bought her a weighted blanket for her birthday. She remembered that Vanya used to always stack all of the blankets she could find on top of herself as a kid, and she thought it might help.

She’s grateful for her small chest because she would rather die than wear a bra.

Marshmallows are nice because it’s like chewing foam without the danger.

Do not tickle her, or she will cry. You’ve been warned.

I am a fellow aspie and reading the autistic!Vanya headcanons made me so happy!! Kind of following on from that post: what kind of stims do you think she would have? (I noticed she rubs her neck a lot in the show when she's stressed and my brain just screamed "STIM") Also, I freaking love your blog and you are awesome!!!

She cracks her knuckles. Sometimes if one doesn’t crack, she has to restrain herself from just straight up breaking her finger.

She used to chew up the inside of her mouth really badly, but then she got a chewy necklace. No more bloody mouth!

Absolutely hates ASMR. Icky. Gross. Bad. Get out of my ear!!

Prefers loud, bass heavy music.

In addition to the neck rubbing, she also pulls at her hair. Not to the point of actually pulling it out, though.

Playing violin is very stimmy: Not only do you have to use your eyes, ears, and hands, but you’re allowed to and even SUPPOSED TO tap your foot!
