“Nice? Shouldn’t you be saying that to yourself? I have heard quite the stories of you; Magneto.” Oswald mused, staring at the mutant in front of him. Yes. Oswald should be terrified. He was a human before a mutant. One that could mess with metal. Yet; he was only slightly scared. After all; Oswald was no stranger to freaks. “I wonder, Erik. However does that handsome husband of yours deal with you? Does he probe your mind? I hear Charles can be quite.... extraordinary. Perhaps I should ask him out for a drink sometime.”

"I only care about if you listen well enough to get a passing grade." a small hum before fingers danced across the desk. "What do you want, Mr. Wilson? I don't do extra credit." Crystal hues glanced down at the feet on his desk. A frown was given before he knocked the feet off with an umbrella.

Brows jumping up at Oswald’s order, head cocking ever so slightly to the side in confusion, considering the man before him. “Long day, Ozzy? Somethin’ happen?” He asks, familiarly. Regulars usually stuck to a rotation of three or four drinks, and Oswald wasn’t one for whiskey. “Want somethin’ topshelf or will anythin’ do?

“Don’t call me that, Bran.” he sighed heavily. “Top self.” mumbling, Oswald looked down at the bar counter. “Just annoying students and a lot of drama... like usual.” He placed the broken cane on the counter.

“Listen, if you don’t wanna follow the bar rules, you get the fuck outta the bar. That simple,” he sighs, throwing his bar rag over his shoulder and glaring the other person down until they quieted. Despite bartending being his cover job, Bran loves his bar, with it’s old wood and warm lighting, the quiet atmosphere and old rock playing over the speakers. He stops as someone approaches, looks them over with a smile. “Hullo, what can I get ya tonigh?” The Irishman asks cheerfully, stopping before them.

his day had just seemed to get worse and worse. his paper clips were stolen, his cane had broken and he had just witnessed so many people makeout. It just reminded him of his own loneliness. Oswald just happened to be making his way over to his usual bar. The bartender stopped him and the villain sighed heavily.  "A whiskey..." It wasn't something he usually drank. He was more of a wine person; the more expensive the better. But he needed something stronger. Sitting on the barstool, he sighed once more before rubbing the bridge of his nose.

Poppy felt a sadistic pleasure at the way the man’s fingers curl in barely controlled frustration. She shrugged. “Dunno. Bored? Looking for Lars? Could be a thousand reasons. I haven’t decided yet.” She leant against the table. “Why?”

"Does it look like my son is here? No. I prefer if he didn't visit me while I'm working so. Go Away."

 He motioned for her to move along with his hand before his attention was brought back to the paperwork. "Don't you have some other people to annoy?"

Poppy shrugged. “Dunno. Crazier shit has happened.” She shook her head. “I don’t need to ask for an A. I’m not even in your class. Trust me, you’d know if I was.” She made a point of it. Annoying the venomous man– Lars’ dad–was probably not a good idea. Probably going to get her in trouble with Lars later. Oh well.

She. wasn't. even. in. his. class. he felt the curl of his fingers against the mahogany desk. Keep Calm. Keep Calm. You can't lose your cool anymore, not at least in this prison called a school. He exhaled slowly, fingers slowly relaxing against the wood. "Then why are you even here?"

“I didn’t come to you with my problems, Cobblepott.” the professor mused, offering the other man an eye roll as he eyed the paperwork laid out in front of him. He motioned toward himself, silently pulling a paper clip, whether it be from the stack of papers or simply from elsewhere in the room to find a place between his thumb and forefinger. “I came for one of these. Thank you for all of your help. Both with this,” he started, turning his wrist to emphasize his newly gained prize, before continuing with “ - and with proving that humanity has absolutely no redeemable qualities.”

“Did you--” a small pause. "Did you just steal my paper clip?" A small twitch was present on the male's face. Hands tightened around the handle of his cane, squeezing so hard that the white of his knuckles had whitened. "I would advise that you return my paper clip."
