Sculptures by Duy Hoang & Lars-Erik Miller // Current BFA students at the University of Massachusetts Lowell January 28 - February 15 Reception: Thursday, Feb. 7 from 12 – 2 p.m. Dugan Gallery, 883 Broadway St. Lowell, Massachusetts 01854 In his current exhibition at Dugan Gallery, Wael Kamal, the Egyptian award winning photographer who is listed in Egyptian National Art Encyclopedias, presents his work with a passionate personal vision of the world through light and form. Wael intentionally allows the viewer the opportunity to participate in the shot, thinking about the bigger image, by leaving some of the details out of frame. He is famous for his shots that walk a fine line between detail and abstraction. One of his favorite quotes is: "Rules are made to be broken, with an artistic vision." The show is sponsored by the UMass Lowell Middle East Center for Peace, Development and Culture and the Art Department.
