At some point in middle school Diana realizes Karen is afraid of what she could do in a fight and ropes Bruce and Clark(neither actually needs much convincing) into helping her. Naturally it wasn’t an easy thing but at the end of their scheme she was more comfortable with her powers and had started going to Wildcat’s, a boxing gym run by Ted Grant aka Wildcat.

“Well, Karen… Wayne Manor is in Gotham, and this is Metropolis. You’re in the wrong state.” Clark looked her over with concern. “Do you live at the Manor? How did you get here?”

“No, the only people who live at the manor are Bruce and Mr. Pennyworth,” She replied like the fact was obvious. “And I got here by flying. Which I don’t normally do but before that I was walking home from school and decided to follow Lex for a bit because he was being suspicious and then I was somewhere I didn’t recognize.”

Clark turned around when he heard the small voice, and upon seeing the girl, he immediately knelt down to be more at her height, speaking in an authoritative yet very calm voice. “Hi. I don’t know a Schwartz Elementary. And Wayne Manor is… very far away.” Why would she be asking for something in Gotham? This was Metropolis.

“Are you lost? What’s your name?”

Karen perked up a bit at that, saying it was very far away meant he still knew where it was. “I am, and my name’s Karen Starr,” she did her best to not seem too impatient, though the words came out a little fast. Just rushing him to tell her the direction would be rude and she tried not to be rude to strangers who hadn’t earned it.

“But it’ll be fine, I just need to get somewhere I know how to get home from. Which is why I really, really, need you to tell me how to get to the manor from here.”
