the protectorÂ
âGet behind me.â
âIâll fight them off.â
âI wonât let them touch you.â
âThey hurt you, didnât they?â
âHold onto me, itâs not safe here.â
âStay there, Iâm coming to get you.â
âIf you want to live, youâll let them go.â
âIâll kill them if they lay a hand on you.â
âHere, grab onto me, Iâll carry you out.â
What were you thinking, running off like that?â
âI get it, youâre brave. But, donât do that, again.â
âIf they want to hurt you, theyâll have to go through me.â
âWhat made you think you could protect yourself here?â
the protectedÂ
âYou⌠you saved me.â
âI didnât need protection.â
âYou were hurt⌠saving me.â
âTheyâre trying to kill me, help!â
âYou could have been killed saving me.â
âI couldâve handled it myself, you know.â
âI donât like it here. Can I stay behind you?â
âOh my god⌠I didnât think you would come.â
âThey want to hurt me. Please, donât let them!â
âPlease, just leave me behind. They only want me.â
âYouâre going to get yourself killed rushing in for me like that.â
âThey were going to kill you! Why would you risk your life like that?â
Hit the heart for an adult Karen starter.
beauty or brains i say erase the idea that i cannot have both
âYâknow Iâd never thought Iâd go to one of these things as one of the business people invited and not just Bruceâs date,â yet here she was, founder of Starrware Industries, invited to Bruceâs gala on her own merit.
About Karen: Kara
"Kara's my birth name, at least I think it is. I swear I remember people calling me it, I do, and they said something about a kid named Kal but it's all really fuzzy 'cause I was a toddler."
About Clark: Cousins
"Being cousins was a shock, I mean the original seven are basically family anyways but I hadn't ever thought any of us would be related. I'm not really sure what it means for us. Both of us have families, and of course the League, but now we also have this shared loss and legacy that needs to be factored into everything too."

âWhatâs your /real/ name?âÂ
âNot going to lie, kid, but you wouldnât last five seconds fighting bad guys on your own.âÂ
âWho let an asshole be a superhero anyway?âÂ
âYou stole my ___ and went out on your own, didnât you?!âÂ
âI told you I could do it!âÂ

At some point in middle school Diana realizes Karen is afraid of what she could do in a fight and ropes Bruce and Clark(neither actually needs much convincing) into helping her. Naturally it wasnât an easy thing but at the end of their scheme she was more comfortable with her powers and had started going to Wildcatâs, a boxing gym run by Ted Grant aka Wildcat.
oftomorrowâ:
âWell, Karen⌠Wayne Manor is in Gotham, and this is Metropolis. Youâre in the wrong state.â Clark looked her over with concern. âDo you live at the Manor? How did you get here?â
âNo, the only people who live at the manor are Bruce and Mr. Pennyworth,â She replied like the fact was obvious. âAnd I got here by flying. Which I donât normally do but before that I was walking home from school and decided to follow Lex for a bit because he was being suspicious and then I was somewhere I didnât recognize.â
oftomorrowâ:
Clark turned around when he heard the small voice, and upon seeing the girl, he immediately knelt down to be more at her height, speaking in an authoritative yet very calm voice. âHi. I donât know a Schwartz Elementary. And Wayne Manor is⌠very far away.â Why would she be asking for something in Gotham? This was Metropolis.
âAre you lost? Whatâs your name?â
Karen perked up a bit at that, saying it was very far away meant he still knew where it was. âI am, and my nameâs Karen Starr,â she did her best to not seem too impatient, though the words came out a little fast. Just rushing him to tell her the direction would be rude and she tried not to be rude to strangers who hadnât earned it.
âBut itâll be fine, I just need to get somewhere I know how to get home from. Which is why I really, really, need you to tell me how to get to the manor from here.â
