also please don't get me wrong. i know therapy helps some people, and even saves their lives. i am extremely glad those people had a good experience with therapy, especially if it kept them alive.

but the fact they had a good experience can exist alongside the fact that the mental health system is beyond broken and oppresses countless people. their experience can exist alongside the fact that many people need different and much, much better options for taking care of their mental health. and that many people need social justice before they need mental health support.
