The Jabirian Corpus succeeded in receiving the bulk of alchemical knowledge from the Latin west, and while it made some crucial additions to alchemical theory, its main value to the Islamicate world was its role as a storehouse of knowledge. Everything was in there. Naturally, the next four centuries of alchemical literature are Islamicate alchemists disagreeing with, or even outright denouncing, the Jabirian corpus. The first in this illustrious lineage, was an eminently practical alchemist named Abu Bakr al-Razi.
