here's a fun trivia:

In the 1983 anime Future Police Urashiman, the villain (though I'd call him more of an anti-hero ) Adolf von Ludwig was actually inspired by Helmut. His name comes from Helmut's iconic role in the Ludwig (which was huge in Japan and critically acclaimed).

ps: his voice actor Kaneto Shiozawa is my favourite seiyuu, it's absolutely 双厨狂喜.

Today is the second anniversary of HELMUT BERGER's death.

I wanna share this trivia: In 1972, Japanese manga artist Yumiko Ōshima created a short manga titled Goodbye, Helmut (p1), inspired by Berger's role in the Love Me Strangely.

She even put a fun Easter egg in her iconic work The Star of Cottonland: In Volume 3, Chapter 9, a paper bag appears with the text "For Burgers, only Helmut"(p2).
