The captain gently scooped the young one up into his arms and cradled her against his chest. Poor girl had circles under her eyes that could nearly compete with his. "Nap time, kiddo."

Her head gently rested against his collarbone, knees tucked up as she allowed the raven to carry her to bed. He was right, she was most definitely tired, but she didn’t want to admit it. 

“B…But I still have to clean the bookshelves…” Ari spoke in a groggy tone, leaning her head back and opening her eyes slightly to look at him. “T-They’re all dusty and stuff…I…I have to clean them…”

She was resilient when it came to doing her chores, and Levi admired that. She often did a much better job at cleaning than some of his cadets -- mainly because she actually enjoyed it, and the cadets saw it as an obligation. 

Once he made it to her room, Levi set her down on her bed and pulled back the covers, motioning for her to crawl in. 

"Think you can fall asleep by yourself, or do you want me to stay for a little bit?”
