This is Nika. She is about 2 years old, and is in need of a new, loving home.
I found Nika on the side of the road on a 110° day a year ago now. She was very malnourished, had no home, and was incredibly sweet. I took her in, thinking I'd fatten her up and find her a new home.
A few weeks later, Nika couldn't eat without screaming. When I took her to a vet, it was found that she had feline stomatitis: an autoimmune disease that basically meant her mouth was allergic to the natural plaque on her teeth and her gums were ejecting her teeth. Because of this, she had to have surgery to remove all of her teeth. I believe her previous owners learned of her illness, and the price of this surgery, and left her on the side of the road to die a hungry, painful death. Fortunately, we found each other and she will never have to face that fate. Since her surgery, she has been recovering mentally and physically up until now and eats her fill of food comfortably every day! And as a plus side: she has free dentistry for life!
She is an INCREDIBLY sweet and loving cat. She likes to sit behind me and rest her head on my shoulder while I play video games. She has the softest meow you'll ever hear. She has a big appreciation for any type of food (yes, even kibble! No teeth, no problem). She deserves a home that can give her all the love and attention that she could ever want.
I am no longer in a place where I can provide that for her. If you can, please, PLEASE get in contact with me. If you are within 5 driving hours of the Inland Empire, Southern California, please contact me. I need to find her a new home, and I want to find her a great home.
Please only contact if you are in a stable home, with relatively few other animals. She is good with other cats and dogs, but is easily scared/bullied; looking for a peaceful home.
