Daddy, you are my first love. You taught me how to walk, made me wanna talk, believed that I could be, whatever I wish to be. Daddy your love knows no boundaries, you would cross rivers and oceans for me, you'd take out the wooden splinter on my foot for me, you would give me life advices and stories I could hear over and over again. Daddy, when I was young, you were very much stern, and I was too naughty for your embrace, and yet your tough love for me never faltered, and you never failed. Daddy, your silly jokes always make me laugh, sounds of laughter echoes the walls of our home in your presence. Oh how I wish it would echo as I'm typing this now. But all I hear are weeps, from the tears falling down my cheeks, drenching my prayer mat, as I pray to the Lord for your well being, just five remaining days and you'll turn 70. Hold on daddy, for I believe the Lord has gifted you temporary sickness for your sins to be banished, and your heart to be as pure as gold. And maybe when the time comes, heaven has already called upon your name, for the only deserving place for you daddy, is in Jannatul Firdaus (heaven/paradise) -ilyanaibrahim
