“Uhh, no. It doesn’t really make brain slushies. But you know what? That’s a very good question... for Sasha to answer. I’m not the one who named it. But, hey, how would you know how dark minds can be unless you ARE a psychic? ... Hmmm..”
“Also, a slushy sounds REALLY good right about now. Hey, do you know where we can get one?” He grins, making the :3c face. Aw .. he’s baby!

“Oh, I uh... Y’lnow what? I probably shouldn’t tell you, buut I’m gonna anyways. It’s this machine my mentor built where you can visit the collective conscience of the people around you and go to their mental mindscapes and stuff. Each one’s different, but only psychics can really go in there. Are YOU a psychic?”
“Pro-tip: don’t try to hold your soda while going in the Brain Tumbler to drink for later. You won’t spill it or anything, it’ll just go flat while you get lost in your mind.”

“No, you can’t,” Shadow says for what feels like the umpteenth time to the young Psychonaut, his eyes half-lidded and unimpressed. He’s never had much patience to begin with, but explaining that this was a TOP SECRET mission that meant the kid couldn’t run ahead and try to do things on his own was beginning to wear thin. Fingers find the bridge of his nose and pinch. Shadow draws in a long breath. Holds it. Releases. “If you run ahead, you run a high risk of getting caught, and G.U.N. would be…less than happy about that outcome. I’ll be doing the scouting.” Psychic powers or not, Raz’s invisibility was still subjected to a time limit. Shadow just had to use Chaos Control and rely on his speed. It was far safer.
“Now shut it. We’re about to enter enemy territory.” It’s a half-beg, half-command. Shadow knows Raz is not very likely to listen.
“Yes I can! I’m a Psychonaut for a reason, man! Have a little more faith in me. I’m not gonna get caught!” Raz pouted, puffing out his tiny cheeks and sticking his tongue out. The little boy wasn’t exactly getting along well with this hedgehog thus far, because he wanted to do things HIS way. Honestly, he’s convinced he knows he’s more than capable of taking down this baddie himself. Yes, he does understand that it’s a TOP SECRET mission, but just because it’s top secret doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be allowed to have fun! He just wants to get this mission over with, and this hedgehog guy isn’t making it any easier. What, just because he works with G.U.N. does he think he’s above him? That thought alone is enough to make the Psychonaut’s blood boil!
When Shadow tells him to shut it, Raz does as he is told ... but he’s a bit of a rat bastard, so of course he ends up just smirking like he knows something Shadow doesn’t. Before the hedgehog can comment, Raz starts telepathically speaking to him, hunkered down suddenly like a spongegar pose and a shit eating grin on his features all the while -- “First one there gets to do things their way!” And then he pops invisible, making a run for it despite knowing it’s a VERY bad idea. He was really only doing it because Shadow told him not to ... never tell him what not to do, because he’s just gonna do the exact opposite to prove you wrong. But if you don’t help him soon, he might land himself in some BIG trouble .. so. Good luck trying to catch this little rat now, Shadow!
