Yeah my oc, Burntcloud is not happy with Raveneye
Now understand this rant is in no way any disrespect to Louixie. They are an amazing artist and writer. This is just how I personally view Raveneye myself. It like how I hate Onestar but still love how they are written.
So basically to start off: Yes I can acknowledge that Raveneye had a god awful childhood. I mean Obisdianfang and Crowingheart were just god awful parents. I mean Crowingheart is so awful his son literally had to kill him to save the clan. This shows that Raveneye does genuinely care for the clan. He could have been the clan future hope.
Now let me get to my main gripe with Raveneye: How he treated his mate and kit. Now I get if Raveneye was somewhat unsure with the kit. The kit was albino, albino are typically killed or abandonedā¦that I can somewhat get if he is unsure about the kit
But he had absolutely no right to treat Weepingwind that way. The fact that she just gave birth and he saw the kit and immediately assumed she cheated. That is insane. He knows she would never do this but still sad this and then he ignored her desperate cries when he tried to take the kit away. He didnāt stop until it took the damn crows having to basically make him let the kit lives. After that. He definitely lost a majority of my sympathy.
He could have chosen to be better (also to spite his father) to love them, at least ensure they were somewhat decent in the clan, be the parent Crowsong needed and be the mate Weepingwind needed
But no. He choose hatred over love, bigotry over family, he chose denial over the truth. He did not step in at all when Weepingwind became isolated and basically shunned for something she had no control over. She didnāt ask for Crowsong to be born with white fur. He literally made his mate who was already kinda depressed a whole lot worse. Hell yes Weepingwind did distant herself from Crowkit and I do hold her accountable but I hold the majority of the blame to Raveneye cause he the leader, he literally rejected the kit, he literally made it seem like Weepingwind is a cheater. He slandered her, rejected her and he eventually drove her to death.
He claims to love her but he didnāt even have the nerve to grieve her. Hell he probably buried her with no honors or nothing. I donāt doubt he still loved her but his actions spoke louder than words. He drove a cat he loved to death and he has to live with that.
Raveneyeā¦.you are a coward, a coward who rather close himself in and not shed tears for the mate who always was there and shed tears for you. You became worse than your father cause at least he showed his mate, your mother some respect. You set the precedent that let the two who you should have loved get outcast for something neither asked for. Yes I do blame you for the death of the entire clan. Yes Crowsong made her own choices and should be held accountable but you essentially gave her a gun and essentially left her in an area where people antagonized her. One would think that is the Crows themselves said keep this kit alive than Crowkit should be worshipped but no. You literally caused the death of your own clan due to your own bigotry.
You stripped Weepingwind of her status, her dignity, her mental health and peace and you are ungrateful. You sir are way worse than your dad. You couldnāt even let her talk before shutting her out so easily. She finally had the one thing she wanted , a living child to be a mother to but you took that from her. For that I will never forgive you for what you did to her.

Please tell me how you are surprised that your mate, who you accused of cheating, allowed to be isolated and outcast and then became a major factor in her becoming so depressed she eventually died that she at all will welcome you back with open arms? You literally drove her to death. You literally allowed her to be harassed and hated and made her resent her own child, the one thing she always wanted. Shame on you Raveneye! You do not get to be a cold, coarse man to your mate all cause of your kit fur color! Raveneye, did you not see the kit eyes when they opened that it was red? You think it might be something wrong but no! You just choose to believe she cheated! One would think that since so many crows stopped you from mucking Crowkit as a baby that you would think, āHey maybe this kit is important but no! You should have sent the two away from the clans then maybe, just maybe the entire clan would not die due to your own kit paws! You stupid! Stupid tom!ā
