Hey Life - Tune Yards
If you need a song to fit this summers heat, this is the one. From an album filled with catchy numbers, 'nikki nack', Tune-Yards have delivered one of my top tracks of this summer with 'Hey Life'.
Tune-Yards – Hey Life
SOHN - Tremors
The debut LP from Vienna-based SOHN is a current favourite of ours. The album was highly anticipated for us after the release of 'Bloodflows' and is a beautiful mix of clean and fresh sounds. File with your James Blake for when you are needing some refreshing and intelligent songwriting and production. Be sure to have a listen.

It's been almost two years since we caught up with The Kill Van Kulls in Manchester. And two years on, this is their latest track 'Wishing'. And it's awesome.
Tunde Olaniran - Yung Archetype
Check out the latest EP, Yung Archetype, from Michigan artist Tunde Olaniran. Catchy lyrics and beats that will be stuck in your head for days (we're not sorry). 'The Highway' from the latest EP is on soundcloud, as well as his latest collaboration with the amazing Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. in 'Against the Law'. Can you think of a better combination? Go immerse yourself in Tunde. You'll be glad you did.

KITS - THE GLOW
Check out this debut track 'The Glow' by KITS; the new side project from Undercurrent friends Sootytern's singer, Jayson. Alongside this addictive track (which I have had on repeat for quite some time now) is an impressive remix from Brocken Spectre. Keep your eyes out for more from KITS... serious excitement.

Practice - Artery
Debut track from new solo project in London, Practice. He's already had airtime from 6 Music and will be playing Notting Hill Arts Club on 12th March. Looking forward to hearing what else is to come.
Son Lux - Lanterns
The highly anticipated latest album from New York's Son Lux has finally landed and is as excellent as expected. After putting out the track 'Lost It To Trying', high expectations were set of the record 'Lanterns' which was released last week. If you are a Son Lux fan, you won't be disappointed. If you are not a Son Lux fan, then broaden your horizons and check out 'Lanterns' now.

Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr - The Speed of Things
If you've been following the Detroit duo, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr you'll know they've been busy putting together their new album 'The Speed of Things'. If you haven't, then you better start soon. The countdown to hearing it began a while ago for me and when the day arrived where I could finally add it to my DEJJ iTunes collection, I was not disappointed. They never fail to induce toe tapping happiness with tracks that will get stuck in your head for days. After seeing them live back in April at The Majestic in Detroit, I was blown away with their performance and also could not get one specific new track they played out of my head. I was rather excited when I started listening to the new album and 'Run' began and I had flashbacks of that excellent night and even greater track. The album ticks has met my expectations and more and we can't wait to check them out on their current U.S. tour. U.K family, fret not. The album is out there on October 21st and fingers crossed they will be over there for a tour soon. And when they do, you'd be a fool to miss out.

FKA Twigs- Water Me
Fans of minimalist vibes created by The xx and emotive jolts of James Blake should jump all over the intricate constructions found on UK's FKA Twigs latest EP2. The somber, haunting ache of "Water Me" (click image above) is depicted in a simple, confronting video, proving FKA Twigs is quiet but mighty.
You came to know Sampha when he provided a large chunk of the vocals on SBTRKT's self-titled album. In recent days, his name has been buzzing about since finding his way onto Drake's "Too Much". Keeping busy, Sampha seems to be making all the right moves and has also released his intimate, new solo effort, Dual. Check out the single "Without" here.
Liverpool-based Etches have a new demo, "Let's Move In" and it's got us more than excited for what's in store for this five-piece. Check out the track, filled with a pulsating base line and enchanting chorus here:

Here at Undercurrent we have a great deal of respect for the Neu djs at This Is Fake DIY. This smooth Dornik track opens their latest mix. Check out the entire mix here: http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/articles/neu/mix-013-ambassadeurs/
You hear a name like Drums of Death and you think guitar trashing, heavy metal, but give a listen to this track 'True' featuring Yasmin, and you'll find yourself more than pleasantly surprised.
