Hello and welcome to the official Underdew Ask blog! The primary focus of this blog is to answer asks in character and secondarily to compile information on the UT/SDV Underdew crossover AU. Posts will be tagged with general content indicators, but either Ask or DM to tag if need be. My main blog is @miscneilleaneous where I will either show up as a post message or a like on a post, and my art blog @neillesart where a lot of the content is shared in-between here and there but art I've made will be posted over there first and then reblogged over here.

One thing to keep in mind Underdew is not Farmtale. Underdew is Undertale characters living in the Stardew world setting alongside Stardew characters where they take on their own roles in the new world setting. The Farmer is the Player entity like Frisk is in Undertale.

The Narrator is an Adult, please keep this in mind when interacting. While I'd prefer Minors DNI, I don't have the energy or time to spend checking every reblog or like. So if you're on the internet, mind yourself!

Limit your Asks to 1-2 characters, and 1 question at a time.

I have the right to refuse any ask if it makes me uncomfortable to answer.

As like a base line- please do not send asks revolving around incest ships or underage characters being shipped with adult characters. Not even if they're aged up. Content like that makes me deeply uncomfortable.

The Muldewverse is still in development. I am not currently comfortable with letting this AU and its variants be open to interpretation as of yet. (If this changes I will have said so somewhere.)

It's been a hot second since I've updated on this blog but I am messing around with Tiled to see if I can make an Underdew mod.

#I don't know if I'll be able to do the NPC pathing but my current goal is just to mess around with the maps

All of the Dew Papyri have autism and ADHD, and all of the Dew Sanses are trans and (sometimes not so) secretly depressed.

The Muldewverse Timeline

There is a multiverse timeline of Underdew (called The Muldewverse) and it was only made possible because of the original timeline's Farmer. It was not an easy decision to make, but it was made nonetheless.

After countless Resets and finding themselves butting heads with walls and dead ends they found the combination that would keep everyone free and safe. Mostly everyone.

The timeloop could finally be broken, but it required them to meet the mystery man named W.D. Gaster, who the Farmer had learned from Mister Qi, started this entire mess. The only way they could though was if they followed his footsteps.

They threw themselves into the Core.

It's not certain what actually happened after that sacrifice but there was one final Reset for the original timeline.

The Farmer, who looked a little odd now, arrived in the Valley and Years 1 and 2 continued business as usual. Year 3 rolled around and the Underground surfaced from the sewers, everything was going as it should be and there was no issue accepting the new residents. The Farmer completed each and every correct task, made every friend they could, built every business that needed to be started, donated as much as they could to anyone who needed it.

It was almost uncanny how perfectly they could predict everything they needed to say and do to make things right, and at times it didn't make sense where exactly all their funds were coming from. Or the items they acquired with ease. Only a few residents questioned it but were either too lazy, or too content with the peace, to investigate.

The Valley flourished with prosperity and wealth.

Year 4 rolls around.

The Farmer seemingly vanishes out of thin air during the early Spring and leaves the town of Pelican in shock. They search and they search but the Farmer is gone without a trace. It's as if they never existed in the first place, and slowly over time the Valley begins to forget. The name of the Farmer is forgotten, they've been boiled down simply to a professional title.

Was there ever a new arrival to take on the Old Farm? Did the Old Farmer who lived on the Old Farm have a grandchild to begin with? The details are increasingly foggy and forgettable.

There is only one who remembers, and he's still searching for his old friend. No matter how delusional the others seem to think him.

By now its been years, and the beast that had been created upon the entangling of worlds that once threatened to awaken and consume all the souls of the universe slumbers ever on peacefully. There is no longer a timeloop, no unforeseen and unpreventable catastrophe, everyone is living out the rest of their lives.

As they should be.

Tooth Scared of The Truth

My headcanon is if the Monster's soul is shattered, the body dusts, so too will any separated body parts that have either gone missing or kept for whatever reason. However said body parts will remain intact until the soul itself is shattered. It becomes the perfect way to alert the Monster's friends or family of their passing. 🙂 (For at least Fell AUs, it might be too morbid for Classic or Swap AUs.)

Something about Players, otherwise known as Farmers, and Rivals.

Players and Rivals are one in the same, two sides of one coin. Player 1 and Player 2. While the Rival is stored away in a folder of data, the Farmer is in play. Simply put, the Rival is an unused asset that was designed originally to give the Farmer a challenge but now remains dormant. Dreaming, dreaming in binary code, awaiting their time to fulfill their one and only purpose. Yet the Rival never wakes up.

There is no place for the Rival to come into play, no spawns, no pathing, no events, no code beyond a few simple lines of dialogue.

Something eventually shifted in the world's programming though. Someone mysteriously reached out from beyond the world's core, calling from a void with a simple message that was basically garbage text. Something someone else didn't anticipate but had been searching for a sign of something more.

Something he couldn't fathom after searching so long for a window to another world, a better world. It was not true freedom he found, but a key to unlock the door of possibility but in doing so altered the world's history forever. There was no going back.

Yet still... The Rival remained in the dark, asleep, but ready to finally wake up. They just needed a place to start.
