Wow. Back to Berlin in the autumn. Capital tries to reset itself, and to do so, human sacrifices to the Gods of Equilibrium are never enough. And all the rest of us little guys chasing illusions and hopes. Yay. Before they come knocking at our door.

Last night, for example, was a beautiful evening at Richten25, the new space for improvised music in Wedding. Four sets curated by 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀, who I hadn’t met or heard in too long, and who played a duo with 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗼 on baritone sax. And also 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿, whom I had not heard play for over ten years, who performed a short but very intense guzheng solo, as poignant and focused as I remembered her. Opening was an excellent vibrant free rock duo for electric guitar and drums by 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻. And to close all the musicians except Clare Cooper improvised as a quartet. A great pleasure to see Clayton and Clare again after quite some time. I’ve made some casual photies
