ROME
(Europe – Trisol Music Group (Germany))
Luxembourgish singer-songwriter Jerome Reuter founded ROME (the name is derived from his first name) in 2005 and has since recorded and released groundbreaking albums in the underground Folk and Post-Industrial music world at a breathtaking pace. ROME's musical and lyrical world is genuinely unique, blending traditional songwriting craftsmanship, unusual arrangements and fine poetry into one monstrous and intimate musical output that combines Chanson, Dark Ambient, Apocalyptic Folk, Pop, Acoustic Rock, Martial Industrial, Cold Wave – all rolled into one impressive Avantgarde package. Over a series of remarkable concept albums, the Luxembourgish artist has developed a unique 'poetry of longing' which rings out from the dark melancholic mist of rootlessness and which gives expression to a comprehensive feeling of modern forlornness. The protagonists of his music are the unintentional 'rebels' of Camus, contemporaries from the turbulent epochs of the 20th Century: the banished and the hunted; the despised and the misunderstood. Reuter's songs are firmly in the tradition of chansonier heroes like JACQUES BREL and LÉO FERRÉ, but in a strange mélange with the darker brands of (Post-)Industrial music culture. ROME's lyrics are inspired by world literature from Camus to Genet and Jerome's frequent use of collage and sampling techniques serves to create a new kind of intertextuality between word and sound. The lyrical beauty of Reuter's compositions, the depths of his poetry and the complex experimental arrangements make ROME an unusually challenging musical experience.

KING DUDE
(Seattle, Washington, US – Not Just Religious Music / Ván Records)
You may know TJ Cowgill from his clothing line Actual Pain or his previous projects (from black metal Book of Black Earth to hardcore act Teen Cthulhu) but King Dude sounds like nothing he’s done before. A dark pagan-fueled folk wrapped tight with outsider Americana, imagine the music of Woody Guthrie or Johnny Cash but played by a fan of Psychic TV. After the amazing, Love and Burning Daylight on Dais and Van Records, the king will release a brand new album in early 2014, meanwhile he's on tour in Europe this fall with a self released EP on his brand new label and a split with Urfaust.

SANGRE DE MUERDAGO
(Woods of Galicia – DIY)
puts together the four winds to create a world of fairy-like reality. Calling up our oldest memories and melodies and giving the quieter and more melancholic Galician Folk from the late 70s and early 80s a new dimension, where nature, folk tales, old wisdom, mysteries and love get together to build up a future far from technological civilization. Finger picked guitars, cello, violin/viola, baroque flute and ocassional percussion and hurdy-gurdy, dance together on a beauty invocation, on a feast of passion and melodies that will awake our sleeping "myself", our true soul.
With its music, SANGRE DE MUERDAGO brings us to a world of ancient musical enchantment.
