I’ve forgotten lines in front of a huge audience when I was in acting school and also I puked on a date with a guy I really like, but I guess not anything as embarrassing as taking an acting legend out. Parents have a crazy way of showing how much they love you, but it’s something we have to live with and eventually we’re going to do the same thing to our kids.

Oh wow. That... I’m so glad you didn’t actual puke on the date with the guy you like. Did you manage to get a second date though? Parents are weird, yet wonderful creatures that is just a straight up fact.

My stepdad does that stuff all the time! Parents love to embarrass us, it’s a proven fact. You’d think they would eventually grow out of it, but it seems the older we get, the more the revel in it. 

It’s really quite mean but then again as children I’m sure that we embarrassed them enough that they deserve to get revenge. Let’s be honest, we all did stupid shit as kids that had our parents red faced.

So when are you having babies, Ian? Huh? When are you gonna get yourself impregnated?! And yes, I believe that you should be a sea horse and carry the children.

I’m glad that you’re close to your dad like that. I never got it growing up but I understand him now, so we kind of had a bond later in life. Really? Can you tell the story of how it happened?

At least you have that bond with him. I’m sure it means a lot to him to have that with you now. Well, whilst walking to set I ended up tripping over my own feet and caught George completely unaware which results in me falling on top of him.

Haha, seriously. I’m determined to not be that parent, since I have a daughter now but I don’t know, it might be tempting when she’s older. That sounds terrible but also funny and something you’ll never forget. What was his reaction?

Oh as a parent you have to embarrass your child whenever and wherever possible. It’s like a right of passage. They show you up as a child so you get revenge when they’re a teenage... and then throughout their adult life. He laughed it off. Found it all rather amusing and decided to tease me about it for the rest of filming.

You’re totally more than welcome to steal my story and claim you were on top of George Clooney. He did cushion my fall very well. Not that he’s fat or anything... and I’m just gonna be quiet now.

I really think I might have been living under a rock for some time because I’ve never heard of these magical coffee makers until now! I don’t even have a Keurig, I still use a regular Mr. Coffee pot. Yes, we need to find these coffee maker-alarm clock.. thingies pronto!

Oh no, they’re like old I think. I don’t even know where to get one but if I ever find one I’ll make sure to get you one as well. The other option is to move your coffee maker into the bedroom and as long as it’s not too loud, then it should work.

Flubbed lines, stared at Daniel Craig in ways I should not have, I might have actually tripped and pushed over a horse or two in front of Harrison Ford. Jeff Bridges I was just in awe of so I was definitely speechless around him. Do I really need to go on here? We all make little mishaps in front of mega stars. 

Okay, okay. I definitely feel better about it now. Thank you for sharing with me. I won’t be like my father and text you to remind you of such things at random times.

Just because I am living and breathing doesn’t mean I survived. I could have died on the inside... I didn’t but I could have. Ohhhh, so you’re gonna be that kind of dad... interesting....

Now that’s my kinda thing. I’m a fan of whoever is winning and is gonna possibly get me a free drink or some nachos. You really do sound like the best daughter, I totally can’t argue.

Well you see I have a tendency to trip over my own feet. So one day I was walking to set when I trip over my feet and go flying into George, who is caught completely unaware and we both end up on the floor. Thankfully George saw the funny side of me ending up on top of him.

According to George I’m one of a handful of people. Maybe I should start a club or something awesome. We could have t-shirts made up.

Oh my god you took out George Clooney? Now that’s a story I haven’t heard before and usually I have the most embarrassing ones since i’m pretty clumsy. But at least your dad remember these things and reminds you because he loves you. Maybe he had a feeling you could use a laugh today.

Please tell me you’ve done something equally as clumsy as tripping over your own feet and taking out an acting legend. Oh if this is the way he shows he loves me then sure. I’d much rather he just text me saying have a good day or drive safe etc but it’s one way to show he cares.
