Imagines for a female s/o seeking comfort during a storm
((BNHA/MHA Bakugou, Iida, Tokoyami and Dabi))
Ahhaha. Itâs fanfic time. This was actually a request that got deleted from my inbox so wHO EVER SENT IT IM SO SORRY T-T the request had stuff like, âthe power goes out and their female s/o is in need of comfort from the thunder and such.â
He was laying in bed with headphones on, trying to fall asleep. It wasnât going very well, considering the music he played just barely covered the racket from outside his window. With each passing minute he grew more annoyed with the chaotic weather.
Until the power went out.
He knew because his alarm clock flashed a couple times and then went blank. He gave an annoyed sigh and sat up, turning on his phone flashlight and propping it up on his desk so the entire room light up. He moved to grab his noise canceling headset when he heard a rap on his door. He paused and waited. After a repeat knock he heard a small voice whisper his name outside the door in the tone of voice that only belonged to his sweet s/o.Â
He moved over to the door and opened it, revealing his s/o, looking small with her blanket clutched tightly in her grasp. He looked out in the hallway to make sure no one else was around before pulling you inside.
âWhat the hell are you doing? If someone catches you weâll get into detention and I donât wanna mop floors with some stupid extra.â
âI know I know, I just- EK!â
You stopped mid sentence as thunder rumbled above and you flinched. Bakugou stood there for a second, before pulling you over to his bed and sitting you down. âSit here and wait a secondâ, he said, moving back to his dresser in the closet and opening drawers, searching quickly for that damn headset.
Thunder could be heard again and you flipped your blanket over your head, starting to visibly shake from fear. He found them and moved quickly over to the bed, sitting next to you and lifting the blanket off of your head. Your eyes were squeezed shut as he put the headset over your ears. You opened your eyes when you noticed the silence and looked at him.Â
Noise canceling, he mouthed. He pulled you close to him and laid you down so that you were facing him. He pulled you closer to him and wrapped his arms around your waist.Â
âYouâre okay baby.â
When you wake up in the morning to sunlight streaming through the wind. Bakugou is across the room, his back facing you as he does something on his phone. You take off the headset.
âThank you Katsukiâ, you say, hoping to catch his attention. It works well, because he turns around and sees you sitting up in his bed. He gives you a soft smile and moves over to sit next to you. âYou okay? Just the thunder?â He asked, receiving a nod as an answer. He holds your hand in his before giving it a kiss.
âGo back to your dorm and get dressed. Iâll pick you up for afternoon classes.â
He notices something is up when lightning strikes outside the first time. The rain tap dances on the rooftop as you two are watching a movie in his dorm, you curled into his side. He feels you stiffen at the thunder that follows, if that was possible since you were already rigid when the rain started.
You started shaking when the TV shuts off and the lights go off, indicating a power outage âAh!â you exclaimed before clutching onto his arm and closing your eyes. â(Name) it is only a power outageâ, he says, trying to comfort you, his blush thankfully not noticeable in the dim lighting. When you donât respond he reaches under his bed and grabs his flashlight, turning it on and pointing it at a wall.
âHey, itâs okayâ, he say before moving to hug you. You wrap your arms around him and hug him back, allowing him to move your body closer to his and set you in-between his legs. âIt will pass.â
âWhat if it strikes me or starts a fire?â
âIt is statistically more likely to strike you in a corn field that in a private school building, (Name), itâs alright.â
He continues to soothe you until you end up falling asleep, clutching him tightly. He gives a sigh of relief and rubs you back as he lays down with a flushed face. Soon enough, he eventually does fall asleep as well.
Iida wakes up to your eyes looking into his. âYou were mumbling in your sleep a lotâ, you say, wiggling to get your arms around him, âsomething about protecting me from thunder.â His face went bright red and he looked away.Â
âG-good morning to you too (Name).â
He moved to get up, but you held onto him. He gave you a surprised look. âWhat?â he asked.
âDonât get up yet. Pleaseâ, you asked, making his heart beat increase as he nodded with a blush spread across his face from embarrassment. âOnly for a f-few more minutesâ, he responded, accepting your plead and allowing you to wrap yourself around him again.
He was laying in bed with you after a date night, which normally followed up with a sleepover in one of your dorms. It was late at night, and despite wanting to keep all the lights out for the room aesthetic he kept his small bedside lamp on dim for you.
âFumiâ, you called, clutching his long sleeve a bit tighter in your grip, âare you still awake?âÂ
âYes princess, whatâs the matter?â
âI think thunderâs gonna start-â
And in that moment, the lamp flickered and went out, followed by a loud crash of a falling tree outside and a flash outside. The rumbling stopped and repeated constantly, scaring you. You buried your face into his chest. âHey, itâs alright, itâs just thunder.â
He moved the blankets and comforter over your head to muffle the sound and placed his hands over your ears. Your grip eased after a bit, and the storm seemed to settle a bit. Before he knew it, you were sound asleep, snoring quietly.Â
When he assured himself that you were okay, he too gave into his heavy eyelids and let them drop over his own eyes, allowing himself to succumb to the sleep he needed.
He awoke to your spot youâd been occupying for the night empty and his roomâs only light source the sun provided from outside his window. He got up and immediately noticed your absence in his room. He sighed, moving to close the blinds when he found a sticky note on the blindsâ pull strings:
If you found this, I guessed the spot youâd go to first in the morning correctly!
I left in a hurry to get ready for my morning classes, but Iâll see you in the afternoon. Thank you for protecting me. It was veryâŠ.heroic of you :)
He was coming home from his work when the rain started. It came down heavily, and since it began to pour, there werenât any cabs left for him to take. Heâd have to walk a few miles. He began to pick up the pace, speed walking and wanting to get out of the rain as quickly as possible. He stopped at a payphone and pushed a coin in. He dialed you number and waited for you to pick up. Thunder started to roll around him and he saw lightning in the distance.
When you picked up, he began to speak, âHey, Iâm gonna have to walk home because there arenât any available cabs left. Iâll try to get there quickly, but-â
âDabi?â You voice whispered from the other line. He stopped and clutch the phone straining his ears for any sign of danger on your end, â(Name)? Are you okay? Are you hurt?â
âNo but itâs loud outside.â
He forgot you hate storms.
âIâll be home as soon as I can okay babydoll? Just-â
Before he could comfort you, the line went dead. âShitâ, He muttered, stepping away and breaking into a run, âthe fucking powerâs out.â
He hurried home, nearly slipping a few times when he rounded corners and nearly tripped when running up the stairs. His hands moved quickly to unlock the door and he stepped in, breathing hard. He swallowed dryly and took off his jacket and shoes, leaving them in a pile at the front door before locking it.
â(Name)? Where are you?â He called. He heard sniffles coming from the bedroom and rushed over. He opened the door and began looking around. â(Name), itâs me where are you?âÂ
He looked a the bed and crouched down, seeing you underneath in a small ball. He reached over and pulled you out from under. Dabi proceeded to pull you into his arms, caging you against him as you trembled. âIâm sorry, I forgot you hate stroms babyâ, he whispered into your ear, which was comforting for a second before the thunder rumbled again.Â
Your grip tightened and he lifted you up and carried you to the bathroom, where to took out the candles and then into the living room, where he set you down on the couch. He began lighting them a putting them on tables and the TV stand. He returned over to you and sat you facing him in his lap, letting you clutch him again.
âYou know Iâm soaked, right?â
You didnât give an answer, so Dabi silently moved his hands to your back, rubbing it to lull you asleep so the night would pass quicker for you.
You woke up on the couch, the lights back on and a commotion in the kitchen. You got up and walked over, finding Dabi in the kitchen with two plates of Eggosâą. He looked up and handed you a plate. âGood morning princess.â
You set it down and hugged him. âThank you.â
âDonât thank me babe. I love you.â
