Being creative

In 2011 I resolved to be creative daily, which is harder than you might think. For 2012, I'm not going to promise that I'll post something creative every day, but I will still post when I have something creative I feel is worth sharing. Who knows, maybe without even trying to I'll make a post daily.

Negative photo. I just loved the way this photo came out in the negative, so I had to share.

An Instagram (it's a phone photo app for those not in the know) user started a photo-a-day plan for January, with a different set subject matter to take a photo of. Some of the subjects have been a self portrait, your shoes, what you're reading, and something old. This photo is my something old photo. The picture is my grandparents on their wedding day, and the bracelet is a charm bracelet my dad started collecting when he was stationed in Japan during Vietnam.

It's a new year, and my experiment for 2011 didn't come to fruition.  Let's just say that life got in the way and trying to be creative daily was adding to my already high stress levels. I must admit that it was a little ambitious, but I gave it my best shot.  Now it's a new year, and I'd like another shot, though this time I'm narrowing my creative focus to my feet.

Day 318 - Slacker

I realize I've totally been slacking in my posts recently, even though I'm less than 2 months away from completing this crazed experiment.  Tonight though I stumbled onto a "Christmas" song that I'm trying to also make into a video, which I hope to post soon.

Day 309 - Pretty in pink It looks purple in the picture, but that's just the filter. The new cat bed is definitely pink.

Day 307 - Cat on a hot tin roof Actually, it was more like two cats on a hot blanket. Penny made a good pillow for Sammy.

Day 305 - There's no place like home Especially a home that has power and heat. Sending positive thoughts to all my friends who are still without power.

Day 301 - You bleed just to know you're alive I stumbled to the bathroom and turned the shower on, making it as hot as it would go. I was tired of being numb. The steam poured out at me as I opened the door. It surrounded me as if in an embrace, and for a moment I could almost feel your arms holding me. But the moment passed too quickly. I stepped into the scalding water and screamed out in pain, as tears of relief spilled down my face. I can still feel. I am still here.

Day 299 - Watching the world go by We call our backdoor Kitty TV. Sammy really likes the Squirrel Channel, whereas Penny prefers the Leaf Network.
