a natural-born performer, sabine was the only daughter of rural laborers, reared and raised out in the countryside. though the dali family lived modest lives, her parents still fussed over her and spoiled her as best they could — in turn, she delighted in entertaining them with songs and tricks and jokes, soaking up every ounce of praise and laughter. taking pride in her ability to amuse them, even on the worst & weariest days. as she grew older, having little interest in taking over her family's mill or in playing the part of a farmer's wife, sabine began to seek out other opportunities to perform. first by singing for coins in the local pub and then, as her ambitions grew, by seeking out proper employment on the stage. it was this quest that first brought her to prism falls (or so she believes!) as it seemed like the ideal place to make a name for herself. not quite so modest and humble as the pastoral scenes of her childhood, but still a small enough pond for her to make a splash in. she wasted no time in seeking out employment at the diamond room and has been quite a success on stage, relying partly on her natural talents and partly on her charms to win over patrons. but lately even the joy of performing has lost its luster, as her recent (and thoroughly unwise) marriage has become an ever-present weight on her mind.
