       The case that they were dealing with wasn’t exactly an easy one, for them, it was quite the opposite, they even had to call in the FBI to help with the serial killer and one of their prime suspects, they couldn’t even crack because of his computer set up, which made Erin furious. But the case itself, it reminded her of the killer, that same killer that killed her best friend. Sighing lightly, Erin found herself at her desk, staring down at the paperwork before but unable to do any work – her mind was preoccupied. Hearing someone approach her desk, Erin looked up at the blonde that had offered her a coffee, the smile on her face coming back lightly before nodding “I would love one — thank you.”

She didn’t know the woman but the expression on her face was anything but happy or even content. It looked somewhat distressed. Then again, that wasn’t exactly anything new in their line of work. Garcia was the cheeriest one of the bunch and she had a specific method that made it possible. A method which included puppies and kittens and cute little duckies. She had to balance out the awful with the adorable to keep her attitude as it was. “It’s got a double shot in there, but I think we could all use that. You might want to doctor it up, depending on how you like it.” She nodded with a smile. “I’m Penelope Garcia by the way... With the FBI Tech Guru.” She offered a wider smile holding out her freed hand to the woman.

spencer nodded, “sure–” he smiled, noting to himself to buy actual food before then. poptarts, cereal, milk, and ramen were probably not good enough to have company over with. “–i’ll see you, then. i still have paperwork to do, and by that i mean i’m taking some of jj and morgan’s files so they can finish sooner.” he smiled, giving her shoulder squeeze. “i’ll see you then, say – five-ish?” he offered, smiling at her.

"I guess I need to finish this before I can go home anyway.” She nodded to her computer. It was a bit of paperwork for the case they’d wrapped up last, something she’d promised she’d take care of. “Five sounds great, text me your meal preferences? Or we can order out, up to you.” She grinned at him, reaching up to give his hand on her shoulder a quick pat. Certain he could handle a simple text even if he wasn’t the techy sort like she was.

Crowley's methods work because he is especially adroit at keeping his contacts. Take, for example, the sweet little slip of thing he'd ended up on the phone with the other day, posing as Interpol to close out an investigation--rather, to move the real FBI off the tracks of the fake one he needed so desperately in play right now. It was nothing at all to get one of his bungling morons Topside with a red velvet cupcake and a thank you note, signed only ~C.

Penelope Garcia was a known flirt. Usually it amounted to the other person either ignoring it, or flirting back slightly. Not the way the man on the phone the other day had though... she found herself slightly smitten. Nothing she hadn’t dealt with before, but when someone could beat Derek Morgan in responding to her, she happened to find herself curious about him. She was working however when a cupcake was brought in and delivered to her office. No real indication who it was from but Penelope found herself hoping it was the man on the phone. “A man who knows the way to my heart... Red Velvet.” She grinned, writing a quick Thank you ♥ ~ G and handed it back to the delivery man asking him to give the note to the sender.

“do you want to come over to my apartment?” he offered. a swallow, “visiting mom isn’t really an option, not for now, anyway.” he looked down at his feet, “so i don’t have anyone to spend christmas with, except miss cavanaugh next door, but she isn’t exactly riveting company.” he shrugged, looking down, “sometimes, i go to jj’s – but it feels weird.” he admitted, swallowing again. spencer spent most christmases alone. when he could manage to make it out to see his mom, it was  usually a bit of a hassle. and he just wanted to relax this year. 

“we could watch the doctor who special?” he offered.

Garcia’s face lit up, she hadn’t realized he was spending it alone either- she assumed he’d find somewhere... she usually managed to. She’d spent it with many friends, sometimes with her brothers. She’d only ended up totally alone on a few occasions, more and more frequently through the years... “It feels weird intruding on other people’s Holidays... Doesn’t it?” She’d gone with some of their coworkers sometimes... 

“I’d like that, you, me - Doctor Who, I can make fish fingers an custard! Or... a real meal if you want.” She grinned, this could turn out to be a good Christmas after all.

She didn’t usually go with the team when they went somewhere, but this particular case needed her there. One of the victims had an intricate technological set up and she had to be there in person to deal with it. She’d made progress but she’d needed a coffee break. So she’d gone to get coffee for everyone and found herself with an extra. And that was when she spotted the young woman who was with the team they were working with. She looked tired, they all looked tired. But this case was weighing heavily on them all. Even those who slept couldn’t really sleep like they should. So she walked over, coffees in hand before gently offering one. “You kind look like you need a coffee... I just happen to have two... Want one?”

Well. Bloody fantastic. Playing buddy-buddy with those bungling, denim-clad morons had been one thing, but now, having his bluff called, being called in to deal with more of their messes, even if it would help him in the long run– It was intolerable.

And so, in his usual way, Crowley had found his way to the nearest bar. This wasn’t Castiel’s existential crisis manifesting itself in human behaviours obsvered through media or the Winchesters, this wasn’t Sam’s pathetic whinging and self-loathing, this wasn’t Dean’s alcoholic denial and short temper–this was Crowley, well-dressed, musing, looking to score. A deal, a soul, whatever it took to make him feel in charge again.

Whatever it took tonight meant a sweet little thing too golden-hearted to leave a surly man alone. A glance was all he needed, really: she wouldn’t deal. She was quite content with her life, probably, if perhaps a little lonely after work hours–not stupid enough to sell her soul. But maybe naive enough to hop in bed with the Devil all the same.

“Well. Hello, beautiful. Aren’t you a sight for a sore eyes?” It should have been a question; on Crowley’s lips, past his crooked smirk and under his honeyed eyes, it sounded more like a statement of fact. The thunderous cloud hanging over him before her interruption disappeared as he cocked his head, openly sized her up–checked her out, as the kids today say. “The only thing on my mind now is how big your boyfriend is: pretty thing like you, I might be willing to deck him all the same for a chat.”

Penelope wasn’t exactly nosey she just hated to someone upset. There were many times that people referred to her as a ray of sunshine for that very reason. She’d come in and do her very best to cheer someone up who wasn’t exactly feeling all bright and sunny that day. 

And that apparently included a compete and utter stranger. Not that anyone would really be surprised by her chatting up a stranger because he looked down in the dumps. 

He was a bit older than her, but he was attractive, that much she could tell. He dressed nicely too- which is something that was rare or at least on the uncommon side in a bar.

And then he spoke. He had an accent... Not to mention he was flirting with her. She grinned at him almost instantly, a blush perhaps touching her cheeks. It wasn’t often she got that sort of response. She got hit on sure, but not usually by guys like this.

"My boyfriend? Well he’s...” She paused almost as if trying to find words to explain him. “Completely, utterly... non existent...” She laughed lightly. “Should I be on the lookout for a crazy girlfriend?” She rose her eyebrows at him gently, turning a bit to face him more properly that they were actually chatting.

Atropos is like true neutral at everything though so she’d be like ‘kay that’s nice, i’ll prove you wrong someday but y’know not right now, can’t be arsed’ because she likes the fear but can’t be bothered because his opinion is wrong.

I think I’ve seen one episode or like half an episode. I liked it. I get attached to characters honestly so that’s really what draws me into a show. I can deal with plot likes being repetitive sometimes and I LOVE Robin Hood types so honestly, I’d probably like it. It’s totally on my list to at least start at some point! Out of curiosity mostly )) 

[ i just love it because sometimes he tells them off and sometimes they give him brown pants. ;)

when i realized it i think i audibly gasped.

also, moving the Leverage talk up here for a mo’. It’s a good show but the premise gets tiring pretty quickly. A group of morally questionable individuals play Robin Hood for good people being hurt by big bad corporations. It’s cute. It can be clever. Some times it’s even mind-blowing! But since that’s kind of the whole show, just these five people being Robin Hood-y, it…gets stale. It’s fun and quippy but that’s inevitably where it ends. that said, you’d be in love with Parker and Eliot and Hardison, so! That’s three of five main cast, plus you’d enjoy Sophie, double plus Mark is really good as too-straight Interpol agent Jim Sterling, so that’s fun! I wouldn’t call it a must-see by any stretch of the imagination, but for the most part it’s a good palette-cleanser post-drama. ]

[ now THERE is an interesting debate for you–what are the Moirai? i take your point on Lachesis, but for me the more interesting point of dissection is is she a god/dess?. i think that Fate and the Moirai are actually above the gods, which is why no one in olympic history save Zeus ever had prolonged contact with them. but hey, that’s just me. ;)

and duh i noticed you’re back on garcia! took me a second because i usually think of your rph when i see vangsness’ face. XD ]

(( I see them that way too but It’s easier to call her a goddess in most context and it’s still related well enough. :3 They’re definitely above the gods, I usually play her as someone even Zeus is cautious around because I like the idea of that and it’s a pretty common thing I’ve seen.

They talk to basically no one save for themselves. >:)

"You look like you’ve got something on your mind, Hot Stuff.” Now, Garcia wasn’t usually one to go to a bar alone, but it was near the holidays and everyone else was with their families or shopping. And her game was down for maintenance tonight. So she thought a little conversation and a drink wouldn’t hurt anyone. And then she saw the nicely dressed man who she addressed with a smile. Maybe she shouldn’t butt in to people’s live. But maybe it wouldn’t hurt, maybe he needed to talk. Who knows.

spencer leaned on the desk in garcia’s lair, watching the technical anlyst work with curiosity. garcia’s work always interested him – mostly because he struggled with the basics of email, google, and (more recently) social media. he watched as she did whatever she did, remembering fondly that time he’d been relegated to working in her office with her and he had decided he loved penelope to death, but he would never be able to share a room with her.

still, he smiled, looking at her and humming, “what are your plans for christmas?” he asked her, a small smile on his lips.

She could feel Spencer watching her, but it hardly bothered her. People came into her office all the time and many times she would continue her work with them there. She could hold conversations and work most of the time so it wasn’t a bother. She was more curious what was going through his mind because Spencer seemed to have two modes. Talking a lot or not talking at all. And not talking at all meant thinking and she knew his forte was literally everything except technology so she was rather curious.

And then finally he spoke and she smiled, turning to look at him, her work set aside for a moment because honestly, this wasn’t one of the more important things she did. It was more fill in work. “I’m not sure yet. I know it’s almost here, but I don’t really have family to worry about.” Her brothers don’t count really... they had their own families and they exchanged gifts on different days from Christmas. “So I’m thinking maybe sleeping in- since we so rarely get to, and just relaxing. Well, until The Doctor Who special is on, then obviously I’m watching that.”

HIATUS

Unfortunately I’m moving again- this time into staying with my grandparents temporarily. This means no internet unless I can convince them to get internet. So- for the time being this is me saying i’ll see you later!

I will be back to this blog, and ti’s really crappy timing since CM just started up again and all the RPers are coming out of the woodwork, but sadly I have no choice in the matter.

She chuckled. “I don’t know, maybe you’d do better off with my friend Reid, he’s totally old fashioned! He’s brilliant! Genius too- though not as much of one as i am.” She winked. “But so not into the computer thing.”
