asking my 'niche tv shows from toy companies' friend about Max Steel 2013 and they don't know about it...
at this point I'm considering focusing all my energy on this blog because there needs to be more fan content about this show, damn it

why does Max call him Uncle Ferrus? if it's his and Molly's last names then that's really strange. is Ferrus his second first name? did he go by his last name for a while and it stuck? Molly calls him Forge, so what gives?
the foreshadowing in s1e7 Hard Water when they come up against water elementor for the first time seems very heavy handed at the start: "mentor figure puts you up against a test challenge that mirrors the antagonist's powers" sure! simple. easy to wave it off as a kid's show
but the followup thought "how did Ferrus know water elementor was coming?" freaked me out the first time I watched the show as a kid. love it when something is only partially explained and leaves the viewer with more questions; great way to close out an episode while continuing a season
in ep 1 Max is informed the steel suit is now permanently on his body, but it appears that he still showers, goes about daily life, and his clothes that replace the suit show more of his skin than the suit (see the beach episode where he's in swim trunks
Future Max could get Steel to reduce the suit into an accessory that is roughly Steel-shaped so he can still charge. a set of matching arm bracers would be fucking sick can you imagine?

is there a canon age order to the Ferrus siblings? because Molly being well-adjusted screams older sister but Forge's whole protective thing is also very older brother coded
vibe-based I think Molly being the older sister makes more sense because she seems to have the same amount of experience as Forge in fighting despite the fact that she's been out of the game for the past 16 years

series where the drama peaked in the past and in the present it is a mystery to be unraveled fucking SLAP dude. (spoilers ahead for Max Steel 2013) yes Forge, James, and Miles all made N Tek together, Miles betrayed them for Makino, then Forge, Kat, Jefferson, and Molly all saw Jim die in the final battle, but nevermind that because this teenager has to pass his Driving Test
