shower, wash off the sweat, cry under the water if you need to
drink some water, cold or not, water is always good
feeling lonely and isolated but also donât want to reach out to anyone? turn off all electronics (or put on some music and leave your phone/computer across the room from you) and read a book or write or draw
feeling lonely and willing to reach out? send a friendly âhey, hope youâre doing well!â or âhey, hope youâre having a great summer!â something that doesnât necessarily merit a reply so you arenât waiting for one
pick one platform to sort through a day, or set aside some time throughout the day for each. Try not to do it all in one go because the sense of accomplishment is unlikely to outweigh the sense of time wasted unless youâve got 8347823 highly important emails that need answering.
alternatively, airplane mode until you feel better
feel awful but still need to go places? Dress up, wash your face, try to hold it together until youâre home, and let it all out when your obligations are over.
Hoodies, sweatpants, yoga pants, no pants with a giant sweatshirt/sweater/hoodie
hot drink (even if you donât drink it, the steam feels nice against your face/hands)
Everything is dying and you might feel like you are too, but you are not the only one. Also, that decay contributes to springâs growth.
Feel like youâre not off to a great start? Remember tomorrow.
the season of great pastries, take advantage of that and treat yourself if you want to/can
light a candle (if youâre home/dorm allows/you can without setting off alarms)
thick sweaters and blankets
have some soup, itâs wholesome and soul-warming
use a sunlamp if itâs available. Seasonal Affective Disorder is a thing and nothing to be ashamed of, but it can do some heavy damage if you let it.
Everything is covered with white and/or dead, but itâll all grow back come spring.
hermit away if thatâs what you need, but donât do it for too long. Never any shame in alone time.
dim your lights or turn them up, lighting has a huge effect on mood and the dark outside will bring you down
everyone around you seems happier than you? People are like ducks. Gliding on the waterâs surface, wildly flailing below. Sometimes ducks dip under and flail above the surface.Â
Party/darty season, do not drink if you feel bad in any way.
dress nice, even if you arenât going anywhere
open a  window if your allergies arenât killer
sit in the sun for a little while
stressed about exams and studying but your hands are shaking and vision is blurring? Take a break. Ten minutes, twenty minutes, stop for the day if itâs late.Â
