A Quick Notice

Infliction prompts that have been sent out are temporary within the event.

If any prompt disturbs you, we are willing to give you another.

You may make the infliction last for a few hours or longer if you desire.

We will make an announcement when the inflictions are no longer occurring, meaning every infliction characters are suffering will be gone.

Ask limits were against us during this wave of messages, we apologize for any mix ups or misunderstandings.

I don't understand if you an event blog for tf2 why didn't you advertise for it? as for the non controlling part isn't it a bit manipulative to ask non participants not to translate/decode when they've been asked by other characters to do just that?

We did advertise, in our own way. We selected original participants randomly and they did the advertising for us when they responded to our messages. We did not make an advertising post because of the nature of this event. It is about mysteries, we wanted it to keep the feel of mystery.

We do not understand how asking non participants to keep from revealing our mysteries and code is manipulative. This is our event and we have a notice right on our blog stating to message us to participate.

There are plenty of characters participating in the event that can be asked to decode messages.

As we have said, characters not participating in the event may discuss occurrences within the event with participants. Non participants are not receiving these messages though, so they should not decode or unveil their meanings.

We would like everyone to enjoy this event, please trust our choices on how we run it.

We will be removing anon options because we would prefer to reply to these messages privately from now on.

Allow us to make some clarifications since there seem to be some issues.

This event is not exclusive, it is organized around the participants. We ask for players to request to join so we may properly include them. We are tracking around twenty people right now. It is a lot to keep record of.

We do not ignore messages, we have answered every one received. If we did not reply we did not receive your message.

If a character joins later in the event they will just miss some of the beginning events that have occurred through messages. They are allowed to react to everything posted on the blog.

We know the secret messages are easy to decode. They are meant to be for the players. If players spent all of their time decoding there would be no time to participate in the event and react to it.

Messages are meant to be difficult for characters.

Some messages have nothing to do with the characters at all and just give hints for the players to find.

We are fine with players not in the event participating in the message hunts and decoding. We are fine with characters not in the event discussing occurrences with characters that are in the event.

We do not appreciate our hard work being mocked and belittled for requesting players to follow our event with respect.

We would appreciate if decoded messages weren't posted for all to see outside of role play.

They are meant for everyone to try to figure out on their own and for characters with enough skill to crack. That is the fun in them.

Feel free to share decoded information out of public eye, but do not post it outright without valid in character or role play reason.
