I keep seeing people posting about how they can’t wait to see Thor reunite with Loki in Doomsday and it’s like… you guys understand that it’s not going to be a “reunion,” right? The “Loki” Thor would be interacting with isn’t his Loki. It’s not the Loki who sacrificed himself to save him. It’s not the Loki that he reconciled with. It’s a Loki from another timeline that he’s never met and has no connection to. Why would that mean anything to him, or to us, as the audience? All it’s going to do is prove what a horribly written and contrived character the “Loki” from the series was. He was literally nothing but a tool for the writers to push their godawful Kang/TVA saga, which ended up going nowhere anyway. Our Loki, the real Loki, is still dead. And by god, after seeing the shit the MCU is doing to their characters these days, I hope he stays that way.

If I'm remembering the comic right, the Unworthy Thor arc is when Thor loses his ability to wield Mjolnir because of something Gorr andNickFury told him — effectively that the gods are innately unworthy of being praised and prayed to, because all they ever do is bring about destruction. I'm paraphrasing, of course, but that was the general gist, and it struck a chord with comic!Thor something fierce, even if he didn't want to admit it for a very long time.

Interestingly, the Unworthy Thor arc is actually the same one where Jane Foster becomes The Mighty Thor, because someone has to be Thor; someone has to fight for what he believes in, even if Thor can no longer see himself as worthy of those same ideals.

🤔 Definitely makes me wonder if they intend to have the Mighty Thor/Jane show up and give Thor something to believe in at any point...

Our largest local thrift/charity store just sent a ton of unsold books, VHS, and DVDs to the dump. This was stuff that was literally collecting dust it had been sitting for so long.

Reminder to get physical copies of media you cherish before it can only be found via subscription services! And for those times where internet/data are too expensive to bear, have physical copies!

Also as a librarian I feel it's worth saying that you can find books and dvds for dirt cheap (or even free!) from your local branch. Books go through rotation all the time at libraries, so if you don't find anything at your local thrift/charity, your library may also have some selections available. And when I say dirt cheap I mean 'my personal branch sells hardcovers for $0.50 and dvds for $1 dirt cheap.'

I swear by physical media; we'll all be kicking ourselves for not keeping physical media give or take a few years. (Especially with those things always coming and going)

relationships between characters will always be my favorite thing. seeing these characters have flaws, strengths, passions, hardships, just like people in the real world and then having someone who accepts them completely is so beautiful. all the ships i love are so comforting because it isn’t JUST the romantic aspect that is special but the bond between the characters is so natural. their relationship didn’t just happen in one day, but it slowly grew over time to become something meaningful. almost like they had been waiting their entire lives to find someone who accepts them as they are.
