Ermal: I have a theory about the construction of pyramids…Excuse me, could a pyramid built five thousand years ago have a square base that only differs in an inch from side to side? And how did they measure it?
DJ: Are you a conspiracy theorist? Aliens and stuff?
Ermal: Wait a minute, ‘cause on the other side of the globe, in the Americas, there was the same kind of construction: identical, with the same geometries. Those peoples couldn’t have possibly met, am I right? That’s different epochs…I smell spacecrafts here… (as in ‘I smell a rat here’)
DJ: Well, you recently wrote a really nice tweet to introduce your newest album–
Ermal: Yeah, ‘we came to the world by little spacecrafts’…Okay, could we please change the subject and avoid this tremendous cul-de-sac now? Before tomorrow’s newspapers go all ‘Ermal Meta believes in conspiracy theories’…I mean, that’s not how it is but—for one, I wanna take a look at all the hidden NASA files! I wanna know what truly happened in Roswell!
DJ: Well said! And this gives me the opportunity to ask you a very personal question. I’m convinced there are some things we could never fully grasp, but is Ermal Meta a believer?
Ermal: Yes. I believe we’re all little fragments of an energy bigger than us, regardless of what we decide to call it. We come from it, and there we’ll return one day. Without it, you couldn’t explain how it’s possible that human beings have been living on the edge for thousand years…and we’re still here, in spite of our attempts at self-destruction. There must be /something/ beyond what we can see with our eyes, that’s holding the reins.
DJ: You know, we’re quite on the same wavelength. I think there’s some energy tying us together, too—I’m not interested in giving it a name either, but it could be /love/. In my opinion, everything is ruled by and revolves around love, no matter how hard we try to conceal it.
Ermal: Yes, that may be because sometimes we feel ashamed to show our weaknesses. But let me say: our weaknesses are like blank spaces. Only there you can write something down.
