This roleplay experience has felt like an entire portion of my life, not just the months since it’s opening. I remember becoming my beautiful, conniving Candice, and honestly, everything in this roleplay (not just her) was the best writing experience I’ve had ever since I first started roleplaying. I could go on and say how I should have been more active at the end, and how my life is more important than Candice’s, but that’s not important. What’s important is being part of such an awesome group and meeting such awesome people. I’m really sad to see this roleplay close, but all great things must do so at one point in time.

[He had half the mind to just go back to his room. The dinner was beginning to seem like a completely terrible and altogether poor decision on everyone’s behalf. Besides, Nashville seemed to be having quite some fun, even in the rest of Alpha’s absence. Dover wasn’t too bright, that he had come to terms with, but he was smart enough to know that if his absence made no difference, neither would his presence. But he found himself sitting down anyways, not hungry at all, but deciding that forcing himself into the situation was likely to produce some kind of beneficial result. Hopefully.]

[Candice had seen the notes around the Labs and wasn't particularly impressed by them, but she still decided to come out of "good team spirit". She walked into the kitchen, trying to garner the attention of the room. As she looked around, she wasn't surprised that it was almost empty. Giving a curt nod to Agent Dover, a smile followed. She joined into whatever insignificant conversation the two were having before.]

Dover. And you must be Nashville. I hope I'm not too late for this...party.

Dover, I hope you know of Columbia's whereabouts. The remaining numbers of the original alpha team are slowly dwindling, so I think it's wise to revel in our new found camaraderie.

I’m sorry, but that’s just not true. I’m not weak. I have nearly flawless records, I work well with my agent, and I don’t start fights off of the battle field. If anything, I’d say that I’m pretty efficient.

Ariel couldn’t feel properly angry anymore now that she knew that Candice simply had no idea what she was talking about. Pity filled the young unit as she gazed into the older unit’s smug face. She hoped that underneath all her cruel words, Candice was a nice person. Logic told her that no, these actions probably walked hand in hand with her programming, but she ignored that thought.

Well, at least now I have a goal. Proving that I’m not weak.

Candice, you don’t need- Ariel closed her eyes for a moment, trying to remain patient. Her worry for Providence had her rather distracted. She was slightly embarrassed with herself for not handling this in a more professional manner. She opened her eyes again and studied the stunningly beautiful blonde in front of her. A sick sort of pleasure exuded from Candice that made Ariel want to flee from her presence. 

But it didn’t work that way. She couldn’t just run away and leave bad blood between them. Things would be awkward and tense- especially during missions. And God knew that Project Freelancer had enough tension and awkward communication in it.

Why do you doubt me?

I don't doubt you, Ariel. But if you want me to be honest, I do look down at you quite a lot. I hate it when we prove the new batch right as being the weaker group.

Ariel studied her fellow unit for a moment, slightly taken aback. She had heard that Candice wasn’t the nicest unit around, but… her indifference to Jackson’s death was disturbing. Was she like this about her agent too?

Oh, it’s simply awful!

Ariel had been on edge, worrying about Providence. Ever since Jackson had been admitted to quarantine, more and more agents were filing in after him. She knew that her agent would never enter the medbay on her own volition. What if Providence became sick, too?

The unit gnawed on her lip anxiously.
