Today, February 23rd, marks exactly 17 years since The Slim Shady LP was unleashed upon the unsuspecting world. This album marks a golden period in hip-hop when Eminem still had to fight with every fiber in this body to make his name known. His flow had an intensity that was so real you couldn’t help but feel it in the speakers. I consider this album a timeless work of art, since I know I’ll readily enjoy it 50 years from now, in the old folks home.
