Clara Bow was one of the most famous actresses of the silent movie era, and had continued success in talkies. Clara was famous for her untrained acting ability, sexual presence on screen and becoming an icon of the 'flapper' revolution among women in the roaring 20's. My Silent Film of choice for tonight is F.W Murnau's 'Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans' (1927)

I'm very lucky to have found this film in it's entirety on youtube. This film is one of the great German expressionist films of the era, and was extremely innovative for it's time in it's cinematography and design. These such cinematic innovations have led some to call it the 'Citizen Kane' of American Silent Cinema.
