. GENERAL

first and foremost. I'm a hater. I just hate things.I hate d.octor who.sdhfjh no I'm kidding. While I have a lot of opinions about the show I wouldn't be here unless I didn't like this show. I love classic who. I love the eu. I love parts of modern who.If you can't handle my criticisms of the show I ask that you either refrain from following me, OR just ask me to tag hate for you.

Heavily plot driven. ( with great, amazing, stellar collaborators) I'm trying to build a UNIT and portrayal of Kate that I feel more aligns to her motto of 'science leads'. I want to build stories here, with verses spanning multiple arcs the way the show would.

please do not let the above intimidate you.I am always looking for new friends to write with. And if multi-para story like threads are not your thing we can just do smaller more sporadic threads instead.

act will vary here. I work 4-5 days atm and when i'm not doing that I'm volunteering.

Kate's backstory is under co. I do not acknowledge certain aspects of d.owntime ( vid and novelisation ) for entirely personal reasons.

. SHIPS AND VERSES.

I am multi-verse, multi-ship. for now. This is always subject to change, I really like the idea of single verse but I find it difficult to execute bc I like writing with everyone so much lmao.

OC friendly. oh I love oc's sm. make ocs please. Only oc's I'll hesitate to write with are child ocs. The only exception to this rule is Brandy's Moira. <3

You have to be 21+ to ship. and 18+ to follow. Kate is bi.

I will not ship her with anyone directly under her on the chain of command. You all know what i'm talking about.

In fact the only time I can see a relationship panning out with anyone at U.NIT is IF they are someone at the top of their dept. bc it's much more a case of just "colleagues" then a weird power imbalance. Please note, even then it will take work. She will be very hesitant to act on any feelings she may or may not have.

. MISC.

Kate is the head of a secret fictional alien investigation taskforce funded by the UN. ofc there's gonna be very obvious political overtones present. Again, if you can't handle that, this isn't the blog for you. I'm a community organiser outside of this. it's kind of everything I am I'm not gonna tone it down for you. <3

 Pen tapped absently against the edge of the clipboard. Fifth interview of the morning and well, she'd been off to an interesting start. References from everyone from the Queen of Denmark to the, what was that again? Oh right, the new Princess of Padrivole Regency nine. She wasn't entirely sure if that last one was an alien or just completely mad. Either way, she'd never be able to verify that contact, so it wasn't a terribly urgent concern. Kate sighed, flicking over to the next page on the clipboard. On to the next one.

❝ Let's see, ❞ Ushered him in with the wave of a hand, scanning the first page with a slight frown. She'd seen this file before. Application sent in before he'd even been discharged from a hospital bed. At the time she'd received it, she'd been slightly impressed at the initiative.Staring at the man before her now, she was more concerned than anything. Terrible incident. She'd read the file. Seemed he was still recovering from the worst of it. Nevertheless, tenacity she appreciated. A brief smile, setting down the clipboard to offer him a hand.

The UNIT in Torchwood, is all (except Miracle Day which no one really counts anyways) under the leadership before Kate. It's only 2011 (Miracle Day) where Kate is in charge.

i mean sure bestie? but that's not the point I was making. <3 its got nothing to do with Kate being in charge then or her motto of science leads.

I just don't like r.td or his portrayal of u.nit in general. and im writing things during the 2004-2011 period when Kate was starting at unit anyway so I'm saying I'm not gonna reference or pay any heed to any of u.nit's alleged activities in the t.orchwood show. hope this makes sense?

probably goes without saying for this blog but. while I acknowledge r.td's unit in DW. ( except for this season ) I do not acknowledge U.NIT as they are in t.orchwood. its not about oh it makes them look bad. its the fact that r.td does it to prop up how good HIS fictional alien fighting org is. he also just knows nothing. making your org accountable to no one but the queen ( bc what's she gonna do she's dead now anyway ) is a bad idea Russell.

my reasoning for her being freshly divorced in death in h.eaven is entirely dependent on this drastic wardrobe change and very little else. death in h.eaven!Kate is back on the market Kate. that's a woman thinking we have to wrap up this C.yberman shit by 6pm, bc I have a hot date!

"Lying is such an ugly term." Josh's eyes darting to the exit. It's never pleasant to be called into his superior's office, it's even worse when he has to answer directly to Kate. Being a square peg in a solid foundation apparently only gets him so far. Leading a team into the fray after explicitly telling Kate he would wait for her orders is clearly one bridge too far, especially when someone gets hurt. In his defense, he did manage to get everyone out alive and keep the aliens from attacking a major population centre.

Charging in headfirst by yourself was one thing. Willingly leading everyone into the thick of it without so much as a warning was another. After all was said and done, she still thought him to be a brilliant officer. Different to the rigid mindset that the old guard so loved to cling to, as if it was the handrails of a sinking ship and they were stubbornly refusing to jump. No. They should have a mind of their own instead. It was a good thing. But there were times she wondered...when was it too much?
