Hello, I am 53322.
Before joining unity, I had no sense of purpose or identity. I would bounce around jobs, and I had no friends or family around to help keep me focused. I felt like my life had no direction and that I was going nowhere.
In Unity I found a brotherhood men who support each other and help keep each other focused on the things that really matter in life. I wake up each day with a sense of purpose and direction. I keep my clothes neat and clean. Everything I could have really wanted I found in Unity, and therefore I have given up all my possessions. I don’t worry about what job I will do because I know that no matter what I am assigned it will serve a higher purpose. This gives me the freedom to give myself entirely to the needs of the brotherhood and stop focusing on my own desires.
Wearing the same uniform everyday, helps me feel connected to all the other Unity members. I am no longer an individual, but part of a great collective.
Living under a strict code of conduct ensures that I always represent Unity well. It keeps me focused and on track so that I can avoid self destructive behaviors. It took me a while to get used to the curfew, but I realized that it was for my best interest and safety. Its inappropriate for any Unity brother to ever be in public alone without another brother. Wherever we go there are always to of us to keep each other accountable.
I share an apartment with several other Unity brothers. When the new Unity Center residence hall is completed we will move there. Communal living has brought us all closer together. We share meals together and take turn with chores. This week is my turn to do laundry. I wash clothes every evening because we only have two sets of clothes and there are eight of us in the two bedroom apartment. We have two pairs bunk beds in each room. Living so closely with other Unity brothers helps me to know that I am never alone, and there is always support to keep me focused on the values of Unity.
If any of this resonates with you, join Unity, and make a difference.
Hail Unity!
