Fan Theory: Pearl and Sapphire Fusion

Issue #3 of the Steven Universe comic contained an interesting alternate cover. It featured what looks like a fusion between Pearl and an unknown gem. It might not seem like much, but if the comics are as canon as the show is, then we seem to have a new fusion on our hands.
Let's dissect the appearance. First, we have what looks like markings under Pearl's gem
Sapphire's eyes seem to be a mystery for the time being, but she either has one eye, or no eyes. Both of which would check out for this fusion. Pearl's gem is in place of where Garnet's third eye usually would be, so maybe instead of a third eye, she has a heightened sense of sight or mind?
Something else somewhat prominent to note is that while pearl wears a skirt, Sapphire is the only current Gem other than Rose to wear a dress. And since Steven is in the picture, it doesn't seem likely it'd be Rose.
One more thing to support this theory is the lack of either irises or pupils on the eyes. Usually when Gems fuse, they acquire pupils, which are usually black dots upon the dominant of the two fusion's gem's irises. If Sapphire doesn't have any eyes, which it's possible she doesn't, then in this fusion, where she might possibly be the dominant, it would make sense for her to either be eyeless, or to have no pupils or irises.

It appears that there are certain sapphires that acquire an interesting quality, that when placed in direct light, they emit a star pattern. It's possible that this is where the idea/name for the fusion is going to come from,
It's possible the fusion is going to be called Rutile, which seems to be the mineral that causes the star pattern to take place. Either way, new fusion ahoy, so keep an eye out.
