Tick Tock
"Irish, dear." He said, having noticed the lightly bewildered look on her face. His accent had turned into somewhat of a mess from his many years in London and international clients, so it wasn’t uncommon for people to question his nationality.
"I wouldn’t advice taking the tube, there’s a bomb that could go off any minute now, I’m afraid." And he had even been so kind as to notify the police of the bomb, however they wouldn’t be able to find any ‘switch off’ button. While some would call him a terrorist, he was too throughout with his plans to need a ‘switch off’ button. It wouldn’t make much of a difference, he really just needed to prevent Hayley from taking the tube, and getting all the police’s attention concentrated specific places for the next couple of hours doesn’t exactly hurt either. Knowledge is power, and knowing your enemies whereabouts is very much included as valuable knowledge.
"Now tell me little one, have you had a nice day in school? I hope the teachers haven’t been too hard on you. I’m sure I could make many of your classes a great deal more interesting."
Hayley gasped, surprised and incredibly relieved that she had been told. Nobody else had warned or notofied her of the bomb, but the traffic suddenly made sense. "Were you going to take the tube? Is it on the line close by?" She asked, although her ramble of questions stopped at his own. "We weren't at school today. We went and did team activities at a centre with professional athletes, it was fun." She was wiped out, though, especially given she had then done more sports after. Not that the activity day had been entirely void of academics, but still. It was very busy.
"Why do you say that?" Hayley posed to the stranger, curious. He was well-dressed. She loved fashion enough to be able to spot a designer suit, so he must have had a good job with a lot of money or perks. That didn't necessarily make it interesting, though. Hayley thought her mother's job seemed dreadful, and she would go out of her mind if forced to do it. She didn't have a clue what she wanted to do, but it wouldn't have her stuck behind a desk all day, that was for sure.
