There’s something about the ocean. How powerful it is. How changeable it is. Calm one minute, crashing and charging the next. How you can be both terrified of it, and in awe of it, all at once. I find myself sitting by it, even on the coldest winter’s days. It’s like an old friend, a comfort, a refuge. I love letting it slip through my fingers, splash over my feet. I love to submerge myself in it, when it’s warm enough, when I’m ready. The waves that float me along are my calm, the waves that throw and toss me are my challenges. The salty hair makes me smile. The stings from the creatures of the deep make me cry. It reminds me a lot of love, the ocean. Mostly good, sometimes not. But we dive in anyway, because it’s the beach, it’s beautiful. It’s part of us. And, beside the stings and the cut feet from the rocks, it makes you happy. You just have to find the right beach 🌊💛
